  1. it was about 10 days until the NVC received my information. Things will move fast once the consulate gets the paperwork. Yuan and I went from no progress to finishing paperwork, planning my interview trip and all of the little odds and ends. I would concentrate on the paperwork.

But do not get into to big of a hurry. I had to have my employment letter redone because I got it as soon as the NOA2 arrived. If you are not going over for the interview. The us post office has a $38 dollar 3-5 business day letter service. Yuan received it in 3 days. The paperwork is very easy to fill out and much cheaper than UPS or Fedex.

I am planning on going over with my fiancé to the interview.

  2. yes my uncle is a USC. has lived/worked there and has been a USC as long as i can remember. i was under the impression that ANY USC can be the co-sponsor... doesnt matter if it is my family member, his family member or just a friend.

let me know now if i am wrong...

also i was under the impression that since my uncle lives in a different state than my fiance, this also doesnt matter the co-sponsor can be from anywhere in the US....

    i believe you are correct.

  3. You can download pretty much all of the packets forms from the website and get those filled out, make sure you have all of the certificate white books. You won't want to send the P3 in until you are sure the consulate has dispatched it to her, you can call and and ask if it has hit the mailroom yet. I think Darnell wrote up a guide for the shortcut process, it will save you time if you do it right.

any idea where i can find the shortcut guide? I tried looking, and couldn't find it.

    Thanks.

  4. so my question is that i just got my 129F petition NOA2 approval, now it's going to the NVC for processing and then NVC forwarding to embassy in guangzhou, and then guangzhou sending packet 3 to my fiance in china.

so what can i do to speed up the rest of the visa journey, is it recommended to have my fiance to complete the packet 3 found on guangzhou embassy website before receiving packet 3, and have her send out packet 3 to guangzhou after i made sure guangzhou have received the case from NVC.

is there anything else i can do to speed things up.

please let me know my fellow K1 China VJers.

    thanks

  5. Well my wife is used to driving her car in China and her family not wear seatbelts. Well I noticed her Nissan Tida did not have any seatbelt alarm. So I guess the Chinese can get the alarms disabled from the factory due to Chinese culture of not wearing seatbelts. And yeah I got stares wearing seatbelt anyway while the rest of the family didnt.

Now that she is here and I am glad I have a car that sets off a non-stop loud alarm when any passenger does not wear seatbelts :) so I do not have to remind her or ask her. yet she is still uncomfortable with wearing it, but she cant stand the sound and light flashing.

a lot of times in china, people put that little metal part(without the actual belt) of the seat belt into the buckle to fool the sensor into thinking that the seat belt in buckled.

  6. Ni hao. Welcome to the forum!

There are couple of us late October 2011 CSC filers that are anxiously waiting for the flurry of NOA2 adjudications. My fiancee in Liaoning province and I are still alternatively telling each other to take a deep breath and be patient.... Whew..... This phase of our visa journey will soon be transitioning onto the next phase.

Wishing you continued good fortune on your visa journey.

Looks like we got the NOA1 on the exact same date, it'd be interesting to see how your and mine journey continues.
