I got the 10yr which is wrong. I'm going to make an infopass to verify and then return the card.

It must be so hard to finally have the card in your hand but have to return it. But it's better to get it sorted out. I hope they get your new card to you ASAP.

POE Dec 24th

Optimized Jan 29th

Card Production began Feb 4th (uscis case status)

Card mailed Feb 11th (uscis case status)

Closed Feb 11th

This topic really confuses me. I have heard that new green card holders qualify for NY state medicaid. However, I keep reading differing opinions on what makes an individual a public charge.

I believe green card holders are eligible for NY state Medicaid. I'm not sure about other states.

how long did it take for the consulate to provide the documents necessary for you to travel. my fiancé and I were approved on the 12 , its been ten days and still no passport.

I got my documents within a week. But I specifically asked to collect my package at the embassy because I wanted to travel before Christmas. Did you check your visa status on CEAC. Has it been issued yet?

I just want to make sure that I understand the rest of the immigration process and have all my ducks in a row. If I am wrong, please, give me feedback.

He (beneficiary) waits for his visa and "do not open" envelope to arrive via courier. Book flight with time in between connections for POE. Doesn't need to bring x-rays along. Enters US, signs up for ELIS and pays $165 fee. Then done? Am I missing anything?

You're meant to sign up for ELIS and pay the fee before POE.

No it's the same for all F2As. I got case complete after September 20th but before October 20th and received a December interview date. Everyone who received case complete after November 20th but before December 20th is in line for a February interview. If you check the case complete list that we have here you will see that January interview dates were already given out at the end of November. I think this has been explained a few times now.

So IR1/CR1 are getting their interview letter's the next day of Case complete(Atleast for India) and F2A have to wait month or more than that or so to get an interview letter? I don't see F2A cases with December CC getting Interview Letters.

F2A filers receive their ILs at the end of the month or beginning of the following month. F2A and IR1/CR1 applicants are not treated the same way by NVC. Persons who receive CC by Dec 20th should start receiving their ILs at the end of this month.
