  1. it depends on which part of the country you're going. if you're going to the provinces/country side, not the city, only provincial towns where people knows everyone, then you can wear all the jewelry you like. no one would snatch it or rob you. everyone knows everyone.

people from where i'm from, wear their jewelry almost everywhere. i'm from the province.

but if you're in a Manila or even cities far from manila, just to be on the safe side, please keep your valuables, on a safe place.

    All true! :)

@inhistime did u ever ride a jeep, tricycle or train in Manila? If yes, you're lucky that you still have your jewelries :) yeah, extra careful

  2. Like said just show it to them through the glass, if they want any of the pictures or such be prepared to removed them.

That's the reason why I didn't do scrapbook  and I don't have "art" too. :crying:

@brandmaryforever what time is your interview? Mine is 6:30am :D

  3. What do you mean normal? If you proposed then we have to wear the engagement ring, to let the people know "I'm engaged".

Some don't wear engagement rings because we have snatchers, robbers, muggers, thieves. There are lot of muggers esp in Manila :)

  4. Good morning Marchies. I got the text this morning as I was walking in to work, then I rushed to log on to the USCIS site to check. Finally my petition is approved. Just like the sentiments of others, although this should be a very happy time to shout it from the mountain top, USCIS makes it a bit difficult because our fellow Marchies (and some February folks) are still waiting. I've bonded with many of you and I will not leave this thread until everyone on our active list is approved. (F) I'm also interested to hear about everyone's next steps (issues, questions, comments, advice, etc) up to POE, so I'll be here beyond USCIS approval. So come on VSC!! More approvals!!

Oh wow!!!! Congratulations islandgal!!!:dance: I'm really happy for you

  5. horrible :crying::crying:

I went there around 4am, my number was 12 for online applicant.

For the convenience of those who come early, the guards may allow applicants to enter St. Luke's Medical Center Extension Clinic premises as early as 4:30 AM but the schedule of operation of each working area will be observed

---not true! exactly 5:00am when the guard started checking the documents of applicants and let us in.

6am - registration window K // the guy was masungit! Finger scanning was nice but when he took a picture he just said "look" and held the camera. He asked for NVC letter I told him I don't have it, we just called NVC to get the mnlcase# , he said I should bring it when I get back. So maybe this is the reason why I have 2days medical.

    7am - payment

    7:15 - vital signs

    7:25 - eye test / height / weight

7:40 - X-ray ***the tech just gave my passport and didn't tell me where to go but I heard she said to other go to 5th floor

7:50 - 5th flr USA counter was told to take a break and go back at 8:30am. I went outside the building to eat, one of the applicant asked me if I'm done with blood and urine test. Yes, I missed that stage, it should be right after the X-ray test.lol

9:20 - physical exam room5 Dr.Mela 20mins // a loooootttt of questions haha ***they said that the doctor in room10 is very strict and "Mataray" lol

9:45 - laboratory / blood and urine sample

9:55 - immunization interview // *the doctor was kinda surprised bec there was a number "2" written on my paper she said "just ask the receptionist"

10 - heartbreaking part... Was told to go back tomorrow for the result :crying::crying: // #2 stands for batch 2 or 2nd day :bonk:

I'd rather stay the whole day to get it done but the decision is final... I'll be back tomorrow. :(

  6. good morning/good evening/good afternoon fellas!

Can I suggest a topic for today? "Do you know how to feed your future spouse?"

    - my answer is NO, yes I'm dead! honestly, idk how to cook or I should say I'm not good at it. So, whenever fiancé ask me how are we gonna eat I always tell him to cook for himself but of course it's a joke. Fiancé is a sucker of rice and here in the Philippines rice is our main food but I stopped eating rice when I started my diet :D he said he will teach me so we'll see :help:

  7. Yay! thank you so much for all ur replies.

I've been telling him to contact their HR but he said we don't need it

finally! he said he will call them later

@hank yes I'm too worried about that cert, better safe than sorry as I always say.
