Hello, I have been silently following many threads on VJ. I finally, after 7 long months at NVC, got a case complete on November 13. I am so beyond happy but hope to get my interview date soon! Just thought I'd stop by. Thanks for all the support. I couldn't have made it through without this!

Yes it is great new and it's almost normal like everyone else. Still have AP in the back of my mind can't help it, don't want to be to happy just in case.

Well, if you already have a person in line then you are ahead of the game. Just read and re-read the NVC wiki from Saylin (link in post #1). Get very familiar on how to complete the AOS packet and guide your joint sponsor on how to fill out his/her I-864. The goal should be to submit packets without checklists. Congrats on your baby girl!!

If you take a look at the I-864P, you will see whether or not you meet the poverty guidelines for your household on your own. If you do not meet the minimum income then yes, you can ask a relative or friend to be a joint sponsor as long as this person is USC or LPR.

Awesome! Well, I JUST started working again. My contract with my other job ended in December and then my baby girl was born...I finally felt good enough to work, so I am just hoping this won't be a problem. I already have someone who is willing to help sponsor my husband. I just hope this won't set us back.

I'm waiting for my case number, too. It is so frustrating. I haven't seen my honey since last year. I miss him to death. Skype and phone calls are not enough.

Welcome to the family Dorii! It's gonna take you about a month so hang in there. In the meantime, you can continue keeping up with everyone here. I promise you each one of us is going through very similar struggles and are truly a support for one another. It's going to be better than USCIS for sure...

I received my NOA 2 on 3/27/14 and it left NBC on 3/31/14. I'm waiting for my NVC case # and feeling so impatient! I just want to see my honey already! Thanks for the support group. Although I haven't posted before, I've been keeping up with this forum. Awesome group. I hope you all get great news soon!!
