  1. I think we really need to take actions on our own. Service request, congressman/senator, tier 2 phone call, seems none of above are working at VSC. Some Jan filers have been waiting for over 7 months, our feb filers are closed to or over 6 months. It doesn't make sense of this stupid process. Even starting from this week, four or five approvals from VJ everyday is not enough to catch up the timeline.

I would suggest someone lead to draft a standard complaint letter and send it to VSC director and USCIS director directly. Whoever wants to cosign on the letter can provide their last name and last four digit of case number.

Our VJ family need to work together and ask for at least a relatively fairness answer from VSC

  2. Dear VJs, it has been ridiculous that VSC has been huge delayed in processing K1 Visa while its official website still posting the normal processing time of 5 months. I am pretty sure there are hundreds of ppl have been waiting for more than 5 months. I would suggest that we petitioners unite together to write a letter to USCIS director Alejandro Mayorkas and ask USCIS for an official explanation of the huge delay at VSC, and they need to provide an appropriate solution to catch up. It is not fair that they are ruining and messing up our life without a clear statement. We cannot just sitting here in an endless waiting.

  3. I get the impression that, depending on the embassy, it can really help (but is not mandatory, nor is the USC allowed to attend the interview in a lot of cases).

I'm planning on being in town for my fiancé's interview, and we will be going through the same embassy as Dorah did. I don't expect to be allowed in for the interview, so it will still largely be a question of our supporting evidence and his confidence/demeanor, but my traveling over there to spend time with him ahead of the interview can really only add to both.

Good to know. But can they deny you visa if petitioner is not around? Thats what seemed to happen in Dorah's case. Seems strange

  4. Smile...Actually nothing was wrong with my petition but the mere fact that my petitioner wasn't around contributed to my denial so he's definately going to be around this time,i thought everything would go well with just me having all the necessary documentation and answering the questions correctly but i was wrong.

It was a terrible experience,i had no idea what visa interviews are like but believe me i learnt my lesson the hard way.

Wait .. Petitioner was'nt around for what? Interview?

Does the petitioner have to be there at the fiance(e)'s interview at their home country?
