  1. I have never asked with my then fiancee now hubby anything. I did have a job and even help with our K-1 expenses like hotel and airline ticket. I even paid for our month groceries when I first arrived in the U.S. He was and honest man and never gave me the impression that he have this and that money.

  2. When I was hired, instead of filling out paper, we have to log in to company website and do everything in the computer and there is a program I need to put my SSN (the HR person simply explain it is just a verification if the SSN is valid) and once I entered the number I was nervous cause it clearly says "WARNING" THE NUMBER MAY NOT BE VALID, because my first 3 digit of SSN was only used for railroad workers which was the Social Security office stop using/issuing it since 1963. My heart skip a beat even I know Im not illegal but reading those it's like I am illegal and I don't want the HR person think that I am illegal but she understand cause I have my GC. so she called the company hotline /main office and was resolved. reasons are, their system is not updated and I think the branch office didn't get the memo or aware about the changes. If I wasn't there and had my GC and SSN card they will probably cancel the offer too.

  3. really? are you speaking from personal experience or do you know someone who's gone through the same thing? thank you for the tip on asking the IO to have my green card in my married name..i'll keep that in mind.

I have 2 friends I had helped with their visa journey :-)

  4. Is there anyone else here who is applying for a CR1/IR1 visa but still has her maiden name on her passport? I believe it won't be a problem but it would be nice to know someone on the same boat, specially someone who has gone through POE successfully. :-)

your visa will be issued under your maiden name too coz it should match with your passport and your Green Card will be in maiden name as well except at the POE you could ask the Immigration Officer to have your green card delivered/issued with your married name. Good Luck!

  5. So my last name would be gone ?cuz usualy its like when a girl is married thy put thre last name as there middle name and put the thre husband. Lastname as the last name..or it is just how it is here in us :-)

are you a filipino? if yes, then use the tradiItonal name change which is ANN VILLA DAVID.

  6. Hi,

I was hoping someone might be able to explain this to me. What does this all mean?

    Decision

On September 18, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before receiving your card, please call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

During this step the formal decision (approved/denied) is written and the decision notice is mailed and/or emailed to the applicant/petitioner. You can use our current processing time to gauge when you can expect to receive a final decision.

I received this when 8 hours prior it said card production ordered.

that will be your Welcome Letter! Congratulations!

  7. i hope it will be early next week well get the passport with visa we're just here in metro manila so if its on the courier now but not sorted yet, wish to have it by tuesday.thank you guys for the reply

just be patient, you're almost there

  8. Thats what i understand also but i called the 2go and say the embassy not release it yet.i checked the status again a while ago it says "THE CURRENT STATUS OF YOUR PASSPORT IS IN TRANSIT TO POST,this confused me more.

sometimes people you talk on the phone they won't know the status of your package probably that was just a guess. depending on your location, courier processing of document is not just from POINT A to POINT B, it go through different offices for processing. in transit to post it means (usually) on the way to MAIN office where all documents/packages are process and sort for distribution its either directly to the customer or to branches for delivery to the customer its all depends on your location.

  9. On the top message says HOLD CARGO, whiel at the bottom says out for delivery, which one is true??

As I far as I know in Cebu operation, usually 2go uses cebu pacific cargo that means its out for delivery to the main office then from main office to 2go branches.

hi Joseyjave....i have interview at the same day you interviewed , i check the status of my kids passport just right now,it say that."The current status of your passport is Picked Up." I called 2go but she said they dont have it yet.Im curious what is this PICKED UP means,i sign for house delivery for my kids passport not picked up.Embassy is closed today so i cant call them and ask what is this mean.Do you happen to know what is this mean?

    picked up from embassy

  10. Hello all,

I filed my AoS paperwork back in February as you can see from my timeline in my signature.

I've been waiting to hear a peep since March 20th, after it was transferred to the CSC, but unfortunately I've not seen any updates.

It's now been over 6 months from the date of filing, is there anything I can do to speed things along a little?

I've had a couple of bumps in the road in getting my learners permit, twice I've had to wait for the DMV to verify my status and each time it's taken over two weeks. Could this be indicative of issues with my paperwork? What is the SAVE system they talk about?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm getting quite upset with the incessant waiting for something to happen.

    Thank you

I filed last February too and transferred same date as yours and yesterday my status was on card production. I hope yours will be there pretty soon.

  11. I emailed CSC last August 15, 2012 and received an automated reply that basically says use the email as follow up and need to call first the National Customer Service and ask me to send a follow email again with inquiry number that was given when you called the NCSC, the name of the representative, and the date that you place the call etc. I never call because I wasn’t past the 180 days yet, I emailed them just to try if it works. So I never replied the email and never call customer service but on September 6, 2012, I received another email saying the same thing and today September 10, 2012 the status of my application is on CARD/DOCUMENT PRODUCTION. I even log in on my USCIS account to make sure I have the right receipt number and it is!! I can rest now for a while and can get things done!! Good Luck to those who are waiting!
