  1. Just wanted to write a quick note about our AOS Interview on Dec 4. The officer was very friendly and professional and had no problems until he asked about the Medical forms. Told him we had included in the AOS package the form given by the Doctor in Venezuela. He said that he couldn't accept it because it had a tick in the incomplete box. We explained that it was issued in April, within the one year time limit but it seems that was not correct according to him because of the word INCOMPLETE. He said he was giving us an RFE and we would be approved when we returned the I-693 form for Vaccinations Only. We still didn't agree with him as we have had no other RFE at AOS step, but at the end we finally decided not to continue giving reasons. Same reasons we read online including VJ.

We went to Civil Surgeon next day and he transcribed info. onto I-693 and ticked complete Vaccinations box($20.00). No need for other vaccinations. We sent it in and got text today we were APPROVED!!!!!:dance:

Just something fellow VJ's might look at. Seems that this medical thing depends on the officer criteria.

THANK GOD it was something easy to fix for us.....and thanks to John&Beca for the advice and friendship

GOOD LUCK TO ALL ON YOUR JOURNEY.....No more paperwork, at least for 21 months...

  2. Thank you very much for your quick answers. I will try to get copies from them. Maybe will be easier to get original from the ones in USA, but for sure more expensive from the one in Venezuela, because just sending that only document Im sure will cost a lot of money and time and I wanted to make sure if we really need that original. Any way I will get a copy of the foreign one. If anyone has another suggestion of experience I will really appreciate it. Just want to be safe

  3. Hello to everyone again. I need some help :help:

The official letter for my AOS Interview says: "Bring Birth Certificate of all children of this marriage, and custody papers for your children and for your spouse's children not living with you."

I (the applicant) have children over 21 not inmigrating and my Husband (The USC Petitioner) have children over 21 living in the USA.

Do the requierement means I have to take to the interview Birth Certificate of ALL our ADULT children?????????...OMG!!!! ...we will have to start running again to get them on time if that is the case...

Cant find a straight forward answer in the forums...

    Thanks for the help

  4. Wu Juuuuuuuuuu.....Guess what????..... :rofl::wow:

Seems WE got the AOS interview date set Dec 04. We just received 2 texts and went to check the status...AOS and EAD both say that on Oct 26 they mailed:

    1. An appointment notice for AOS Interview

    2. Ordered production of your new card EAD

This is a good day....WE are so happy and excited...:dance: One day after our second month wedding anniversary celebration..so the party will continue this weekend....WU JUUUUUUU!!!!!:thumbs:

  5. Hi again...My fiance hasnt arrive yet so I can ask about the 2 questions missing...will reply later again to see if we can help...

About your new question.....embassy doesnt send anything to her place or mailbox before interview....after you get your NVS number wait around 3 or 4 days and ask for an interview date in a mail sent to inmigrantcaracas2@state.gov.. Make sure write in the subject your CRS number that NVC gave you and something like K1 interview date so they know what are you asking for ....and also write at the beginning of the mail the name of petitioner and Benefiary and their Birth dates and of course ask for the appointment for interview....Embassy will NOT contact you...YOU the petitionary send the mail...

They will answer very quick (maybe next day) with the date and hour and will send attach or written a list of documents your fiance has to bring to the interview....Dont send anything to embassy...just your fiance has to bring the documents with her...I suggest that you go to Caracas embassy website where important information is written, specialy in the apart "preparing for your Interview". Ther you will find a lot of tips is good to know.

As I said I never received anything in my place or mailbox but from my fiance (Original Forms, supports....things so I could take to the interview)....AND the passport with the Visa....You have to take to Interview a DHL paper...previously filled with your fiance name and adress qhere she wants to pick up the passpor. in my case I selected a DHL office. Didnt want passport arriving and No One at home....

Id you need anything more I will try to help....just ask.....A big hug!

  6. 1. Fiancé is in Venezuela but she has to sign the 325A and letter of intent. I guess there is no problem if she just scan and sends me the documents signed by her or all documents have to be original signature and no copy?

    ORIGINAL SIGNATURE

    2. I'm in the US but my divorce papers are in Spanish and I wanted to know if I have to get them translated in English by a certified translator or I can do it myself that I'm fluent in both languages or might have a conflict because I'm the petitionary.

WE DID IT WITH A CERTIFIED TRANSLATOR IN USA AND MY FIANCE SEND IT WITH THE I-129 (cause we read ALL papers has to be in english). I HAVE READ ABOUT PEOPLE DOING IT THEIRSELVES. MAYBE SOMEONE HERE CAN HELP YOU WITH THAT.

AT CARACAS EMBASSY INTERVIEW THEY ACCEPT BIRTH / DIVORCE DECREE WITHOUT TRANSLATION.

ANYWAY YOU WILL NEED THE TRANSLATION LATER FOR ADJUSTMENT STATUS.

    3. Also, same question as #2 for my fiancé birth certificate (partida de nacimiento) if it should be translated by certified translator or myself and for the Skype, Emails and whatsApp conversations that are all in Spanish.

SAME FOR YOUR FIANCE BIRTH.....NO SKYPE, MAILS....HAS TO BE TRANSLATED...WE JUST TRANSLATED THE LEGAL DOCUMENTS (BIRTH, DIVORCE)

    4. Some place I read that for the K-1 129-F Visa petition was not necessary translate the conversations like Skype, Emails, Etc if the US Consulate applying is the country language Spanish. But for other paper work like the divorce and birth certificate would be necessary for future procedures. Is this correct?

    ANSWER IN 2. AND 3.

    5. One big concern is that my fiancé in Venezuela and don't ask me why, doesn't have a mailing address and they don't deliver mail to the physical address that also don't have a house number. I have seen that is very common in Venezuela and most people use IPOSTEL (like a post office) for a PO Box rental. The issue is that she is a final year student in college and she would have to finish her practice in another city on September that she would move. So there is no reason why rent a PO Box now because she would move in aprox. a month. The address in the 129 F of my fiancé is physical but no mail will get there. My question is, would it be an issue and a pain doing an address change later on before paper work is sent to the Caracas US Consulate?

THE PACCKAGE WITH MY PASSPORT THE EMBASSY SENT ME WITH MY VISA I REQUIRE TO BE SEND TO A DHL OFFICE AND I PICKED UP THERE....FASTER (3 DAYS)...NO ONE SENT ANYTHING TO MY ADRESS BUT MY FIANCE.

    6. Question is that my area I read was the Vermont office for processing the petition, but my question is which address should I send my k1 visa petition because there is another address; the USCIS Dallas Lockbox that I also read that all should be sent there for direct filing. Now which of the two my 129 F package should be sent.

    7. Last question; the 129 F petition payment is $340.00 by check or money order payable to?

LAST 2 QUESTIONS WILL ASK MY FIANCE LATER AND ANSWER YOU BACK IF YOU DONT GET AN ANSWER BEFORE I HAVE THE INFORMATION

    GOOD LUCK FRIEND!!!

  7. Ok...will post this again...Maybe everyone was sleeping when I posted before???..I know..was to early!!!

Hi Friends, hope you can help me:

My daughter went to the interview for getting her K2 visa after me, so she received her sealed package and is bringing it to USA soon.

Im in USA one month ago, so Im thinking in doing both AOS at same time, right after the wedding . I have been reading and preparing the forms and documents for the AOS so I have them almost ready to send them together. My questions:

    1- Should I prepare:

    a) 2 separate cases (mine and daughter), each one in one file and then both in one big file??...OR

    b) send them completely appart in different envelopes considering that our sealed package that came from the embassy and were given at POE to the officer are appart...If so, Do you think that information gets together at some point???..

    2) Do we need 2 originals I-864 affidavit, one in each AOS package????....OR just 1 original in my package including my daughters name??..OR Whattt???

    3) Where do I find my daugther´s A#.

    4) I read that the visa number is the one written in red and not the control number...is that right???

    5) My daughter told me that she just received her passport with the K2 visa and embassy didnt canceled her tourist B1/B2 visa that was in the passport. Mine was canceled...is that normal??? or an embassy mistake.

    6) I just realize that the medical vaccination form 3025 was marked "Vaccine History Incomplete" even I got all the shots I needed (March 2012 - embassy Dr.). I have been reading some posts of people saying they got RFE in the AOS and had to do a new medical....Should I need another medical???. What does this INCOMPLETE means??..wasnt the Dr. supposed to give me all the shots I needed??? cause he said so and I just got 1 didnt have in my records..

Thanks very much for your help!

  8. Hi again.....

Please if someone can give me some advice cause i have been reading some posts and cant find the answer:

My medical Form DS-3025 on the 2. Results, only have 1 box checked: Vaccine history Incomplete, but the Dr. didnt check the one that indicates " Applicant may be elegible for waiver....". No other box of the two under this item is checked....

    - Is this a Dr. mistake?

    - Should I talk to the Dr. to send me another original one?...someone of my family is comming soon.

    What should I do????

    Thank very much! (F)

  10. Holaaaaa......

I went alone to the interview and everything went really fine..and there are other couples that only the beneficiary attend the interview......People at embassy are very respectful and professional in there job...If your fiance can come great! but if not...nothing to be worry about...you can go alone....Good luck!!

  11. For the embassy interview they only requiere birth certificate in spanish (legalize and Haya apostilla). They only ask for a copy, so I didnt give them the original.

Now for the AOS they ask for the translation too. What I dont know if all the legalize and apostilla has to be translated also or just the one page of the Birth certificate.

According to the person who answer from polland (thanks) Yes ...you do the legalize and apostilla so the document is valid outside the country. If I was going to use it inside the country I didnt have to make the apostilla in the Foreign Minister. When we send our I-129 we include a copy of the Birth certificate (NOT LEGALIZED) and a translation made by an US certified translator....Only ONE page. But to the embassy interview they requested a complete legalize and apostilla document IN SPANISH. Not translations were requiered.

Now the question is....For the AOS...will that same ONE page Birth (NOT LEGALIZED and NOT APOSTILLA) and translation work??? OR Do I have to translate the complete 5 pages document (LEGALIZED an APOSTILLA)....cause those others 4 pages doesnt say anything about my birth dates, parents, etc...just are pages with stamps and writings identifying the Internal or Foreign minister and saying previous signatures are correct and refering to some oficial resolutions...but I mean nothing related to my personal information. :help:

  12. I need some help from Venezuelan people....

I brought my venezuelan Birth certificate Legalize (It means the Birth-1 page plus the others sheets from the Interior and Foreign Ministers that they attached to the Birth certificate with stamps and other writings certifying the hand written sign of the civil registrator of the parish is authentical ......Venezuelan people will know what I mean....

My question is.... for the AOS I need to send a translation of this document....so we talk to some US lawyers and I had differents answers on how the translation should be:

    1) Just the only page where the birth certificate is written (my name, date of birth, parents names, etc) and signed by the parish registator.

    2) All the pages including the ones attached from the Internal and Foreign Minister (Haya Convention - Apostilla), even some of them just say something like this: I, Peter XXXX, main register of this parish certify that Im able to legalize the hand written sign of the previous document.....

And in both cases, signed by the translator and a notary???

What about if I do the translation in Venezuela...I know US embassy in Caracas have a list of certified translators....Do they Notarize it too???....

What should I do???...Im so confused!! :bonk: :bonk:

    Thanks

  14. Hello fellow VJ members, we have a situation that we need advice on. We have applied for and have been approved for a K1 Fiancé Visa in April 2012 and she will be joining me in the US in the near future. My Fiancé has a daughter 19 years old that was listed in the petition I-129 and all the forms required for the Visa (DS-230, DS-156, DS 156K, I-134), but marked NO, she was not coming with her mother because she had another plan. The daughter is now thinking in following her mother to the US. The questions are;

    1) Would this cause any problems with our K1 process??

    2) Would she be able to come and what is the process??

    3) If the answer is YES, does the daughter have to do an interview in addition to her forms?

-My fiancé DS 156K, 156 and 230 forms statement the child will “follow to join” to replace the previous ones we submitted?

-Another affidavit of support I-134 for her to replace the previous one including the name of the child in question 3 “name of children accompanying or following to join person”? OR A new one on her behalf stating, Fiancé Child in the space “Relationship to sponsor”?

Thank you in advance for your help.

  15. Hi!

Does anyone know if I can bring a 3 rings binder to the Caracas Embassy for the interview?

It doesn't say anything on the website, but I remember that before the interview they tell you what kind of binder you can have, but i really don't remember what kinds are allow!

    Thank you!!

    Hola!

  16. hi!!

I just want to know if for the interview I have to bring the original documents that I sent on the I-129f package?

Like the G325a form, the I-129f form, the old letter of intent, etc.

    Thank you!

In my interview my I-129 package was there. They didnt ask for any original documents sent. They just asked for the NEW evidence of relation (only pictures, even I had a big file with mails, skype, last travel, etc...only pictures were request). Anyway You should take all your new evidence organized just in case. And of course the new forms, taxes/W2, and the papers request in the mail they send to you with the date of the interview....Good luck!

  17. I'm a lil confused about the police clearance and how to obtain it. I lived in Venezuela for a total of 10 months. I have honestly no clue where to get one so I looked it up on the Internet and found 2 very confusing answers.

Number 1 said to contact el departamento administrativo de seguridad.

Number 2 said "Do not attempt to obtain police certificates covering residence in any of the following countries, as they are not available: Venezuela, Ghana, etc"

Maybe someone could help me out? :D

Hi.....Well..I got my police clearance recently from Venezuela, so lets see if I can help you with the procedure.. You have to request the document at this adress:

Caracas, Plaza La Candelaria, Edificio Paris....This place is very near to The Metro Station Parque Carabobo (like 2 blocks)

You have to go from monday to friday 8 - 11 am. I suggest that you go earlier cause lines sometimes are long and they give 150 numbers per day to people requesting that document.

They will give you there a form to fill where you have to write your name and the reason for the request (VISA) , and for what Institute (Estados Unidos de America in Venezuela...this is what I wrote cause my interview was in USA Embassy-Caracas). Also you have to take with you copy of your ID. You can go or sent someone with a simple authorization (doesnt have to be notarized)

It takes like 3 days to be done and then you have to look for it at another building (Ministerio Interior y Justicia (Internal Justice Minister)located in Avenida Urdaneta a few blocks from the Building Paris where you request it. You have to look for it from 1 - 3 pm. Big lines too....

Is a FREE service. so yu dont have to pay anything.

This document is valid for 3 month from the date is printed.

Some people after that procedure take it to the Ministerio Relaciones Exteriores to legalize. I did it just in case. But the USA Venezuela embassy in the web says that the police clearance must be from the Ministerio Interior y Justicia (just the first one).

Hope it helps...If you had any question I´ll be glad to help you... .Good Luck

  18. Hi yall,

After waiting 5 months for a decision, I received a letter requesting additional evidence of having met in person. I replied and have been waiting since.

My questions is, have anyone been requested this? and how long did it take you to get the answer?

I am just afraid of this step taking another 5 months.

    Thank you,

    Kevy M Figuera

A RFE isn't necessarily a bad thing, it means someone is at least looking at your application. We received a RFE and got our NOA2 two weeks after we sent the information back they wanted...........GOOD LUCK......

  19. My fiance had her interview in Caracas today.....AND WE WERE APPROVED :thumbs::dance: For your questions, she had copies of the 1040 with W2's for the last three years and Tax transcripts also, you can call IRS and they will mail them to

you, NO CHARGE, they took 2011 and 2010. She had bank letters, original and copy but did not look at them. She had the job letter, original and copy, looked at it but did not take. She had an original and copy of my Birth Certificate but they did not look at it.

Of the things other than the official forms, they only wanted copies not the originals of what they kept.

All I can say is have originals when you can and copies of anything your can think of, better to have to much than not enough. My fiance said it looks like they ask for different things from each person.

As far as mailing things, I have sent her things many times with DHL with no problems, its a little spendy but I think All companies are.

BEST OF LUCK IN THIS NEXT BIG STEP IN YOUR JOURNEY.....WHEN YOU HEAR..."YOU ARE APPROVED"....ALL WILL HAVE BEEN WORTH IT!!!!!!!!!

  20. I tried to use skypeviewlog...But I dont know why is not working in my computer... :(

Can anyone here help me???...Im not a Genius computer :bonk: ..If someone can give me some advice, requirements or something...I download/installed it....but when I run it...the window comes without information.... :crying:

Pleaseeee....Help Me I have my interview soon and would like to take this records...

    Thanks in advance! :help:

  21. Who????....The main reflexion is if you both agree to be a couple FOREVER before filing the K1 petition...is not a a matter of Who... HE or ME??...is a matter of US...and everything material each one have or payments to do should be OURS..all things in the same bag!!...I understand your worry about this process being hard and expensive...but I think you two should look inside your feelings and find if the love you have for each other is more than the worries about economical things...is the only way you two will support each other and act in every step like a real couple in good and bad situations...Good Luck!!

The way I look at it, its an investment to my and my fiance's future. Its not just a financial one, its an emotional one. You can make it in this world a lot easier with two people working together. And having someone to wake up to every morning is definitely a plus!
