Same here! This Monday I got an email stating that my case was approved, yesterday it changed to card production, and today went back to decision.. I was puzzled and kinda scared until I read your post, but I'll wait to get another "card production" email, and then I guess the GC por fin!
Enhorabuena, congrats to all of us! -
We sent the AOS papers in February, Biometrics in March, and I was approved yesterday w/o interview. I didn't get any letter at all. Just boom! approved

The signature has to be ORIGINAL. She has to sign it and mail it to you. Don´t do fax, scan, email or anything else; there´s no way around it.
Just use the Letter of Intent from Visajourney.

As far as I can recall the ONLY way to get rid of the "Valid for work only with DHS authorization" - to "update" your info - is once you get your Green Card.
I can't give you advise about the credit issue tho, I just bought a car with my husband as a co-signer and I didn't have any problem at all to get it financed!
I entered thru a K1 as well, and got my SSCard a couple of months afterwards. I applied for AOS in February and got the Employment/Travel document in April; however, I'm still waiting to hear from the I-485 part.
Maybe talk to a couple of different dealers and see what happens.Good luck

Hi Mrs.Him,
I'm opening this thread again to clarify something that will bring reassurance to my case and will probably help others.
When you mention a document such as the birth certificate does not need to be notarized for AOS, do you mean it does not need the Apostille ("Apostilla de la Haya")?
I don't want to be wrong in making that assumption, but this is my understanding, and would like to make sure.
Thanks a lot.
I tell you what I did. I got my Complete Birth Certificate from the Registro Civil before leaving Spain. This is an official copy (stamp, signature, etc). I translated it myself into English and included both, the original and translation in the AOS package. I also attached the "Certification by Translator" filled out and signed by me.
Thus, I did not notarized the translation, just certified it myself. You don't need to "apostillar" the translation, BUT the birth certificate I brought from Spain is the official document as they gave it to me at the Registro Central

Hi,
We just received our NOA2 approval and now my fiance is worried about gathering all of the documents needed for his interview. He will be doing his interview in Spain and his main concern is about the language.
Will the package that he receives from the Embassy be in English or in Spanish?
And will he have to translate all of the documents to English even if he is doing the interview in Spain?
Will his interview be in English or Spanish?
Thanks for your help!
The documents must be in either English or the language spoken in the country where the Embassy is located, in this case Spanish. I cite from the checklist included in Packet 3:
'Todos los documentos que no estén en inglés o en la lengua oficial del país en el que se vaya a solicitar el visado, se deben acompañar de una traducción legalizada al idioma inglés'.

Back in September I had my medical checkup done at Unidad Médica Angloamericana. I asked for this form, I made clear I would pay for it, they said vaccinations are not mandatory for a K1 and thus, they won't issue it.
However, I made sure I'm up to date with all the vaccinations for AOS before leaving Spain. And I managed to convince my doctor to enter all the old vaccination records from the Cartilla de Sanidad into the electronic system they now use. This way, I was able to get an official document that shows my complete vaccs history before my trip. I then gave a copy of both this certificate and all the pages in the Cartilla to the civil surgeon here in order get the vaccs supplement needed for AOS.
Hey Toni! If you can keep us posted (or at least me) on what you take to the medical in Madrid that would be great. My fiance and I are also confused as to what he needs to take and do for that. Thanks so much and good luck!
My review might help you out:

Marry in the US, and adjust your status from Italy – It's illegal to stay in the US after marrying on a VWP – or apply now for a K1 Fiance Visa, which will allow you to marry in the US and stay there while you adjust your status. The K1 (129F) option tends to be a faster process.
We chose the K1 Visa path and are now living together as a a happy married couple -
I got my EAD & Advance Parole Combo Card in the mail this morning woohoo!
Now it's time to start job hunting. I'll be entertained while we wait for AOS!
-
They mailed it to me on a Wednesday and I got it Saturday morning with a Welcome to USA letter.
A Welcome to USA letter, that's nice
I'm still waiting for an update on my AOS case, but at least I'm getting the EAD card in a couple of days, that'll keep me entertained in the meantime
-
Have you checked it online? I did not get a email with EAD tracking number.. I were only able to see that online.
Oh I see. I got the same email, but it says ''the tracking number is'' and instead of a number I got three letters LOL
Well, I guess it'll be here soon, otherwise I'll call them up and ask for the tracking number.
Thanx!
-
Hi all,
good luck to all on their journey. I just wanted to update you all for the last time.
I received my EAD card three days after our Interview. A week after our interview I got the notice that my Green Card was mailed and according to USPS tracking I should get it Friday
How do you track your package delivery? Yesterday I got an email from USCIS informing me that they received and sent my EAD card, and they claim to have provided me with a tracking number... however, it's only three letters, and the link to the USPS Tracking Service doesn't work.. weird?
-
Yes, totally normal. You'll receive a third email, presumably tomorrow or the day after, saying ''we mailed your card'' and then you'll get it in the mailbox in a couple of days.
-
Each form's requirements must be met by themselves, even if you are submitting multiple forms with potentially overlapping required documents together.
So in short, you need the multiple copies.
I didn't do I-130 because I was a K1-Visa before AOS, and we got married in US; however, I wondered the same when it came to submit my I-765 and I-131, together with I-485.
It runs out that even though filed together they are considered separate applications, so you have to submit all the required documents individually and as many times as needed.

Since your husband was granted a K1 Visa he does NOT need another complete medical check, just the vaccinations part, because they are not mandatory for this type of visa (for most of the countries) and therefore, need to be taken care of for AOS. That means they will ask for official proof (most likely in English) from his doctor back at home stating which shots he's taken. They would then revise it, give him the ones he's missing (if any), and sign the supplement page. However, as Jay-Kay says, many of the authorized civil surgeons won't want to do just the vaccinations part, and try to rip you off by making you pass a pricey complete medical check.
Check the list of civil surgeons on the USCIS website and start calling and asking for prices. Insist that you're a K1-Visa and only need the vaccinations supplement.
Here, a really useful topic to check out:

On April 22, 2013, we mailed the new card directly to the address we have on file
Congrats!
I got the second I-765 Card Production email today (I-765)
-
Just got the AP approval email as well!
:star:
-
Anyone correct me if I'm wrong but you receive the NOA1 when you sign up for text/email notification with the form g1145. If you want to keep receiving notifications you have to sign up @ the USCIS website put in your case number and you will continue receiving notifications.
You probably already knew that though..
I did signed up on the USCIS website as well, always do, but in any case, I just got my EAD approval woot!!
"On April 17, 2013, we ordered production of your new card"
At least I'll be soon allowed to work!
-
Did you sign up for the email alerts using your case number?
Yup. I got the notifications for NOA1 both by email and text
-
I received my interview notice this morning! For May 17th!
How is everyone else doing any updates?
Congrats!
Still nothing here
Got NOA1 (x3) last February 19. My AOS case is stuck on Acceptance, and both EAD and AP still show Initial Review....
I'm getting a bit anxious here....
-
It's funny cause I did put my name on the mailbox....the mail man took it off!
lol
Maybe you should pay a visit to the Post Office, and make sure they have your name registered in that address?
-
Mine was taking forever to arrive and I was also worried, so I went back to the SSOffice. They told me the SSN had been assigned the day after my first visit, but that, in order to deliver these kind of documents, the post office verifies, prior delivery, that the recipient's name is registered in the given address.
I had applied for my SSN before getting married, and that second visit was after the marriage, so they told me that since the card had been already sent (even thought not yet received) I could simply reapply, this time under my married name. I did so, and drove to the Post Office right afterwards. There I explained my situation, and showed them my passport and marriage certificate (to prove name change). They immediately entered my data on their system, and I got BOTH cards the next day (the 1st one under maiden name, and the new one under my married name).
Btw, I also wrote my name on the mailbox; as silly as it sounded for me at first, it's important!
-
Still nothing on my case, nor about EAD or AP.. I see so many of you getting approved, or interview appointments! I wonder how much more before I get some news... *sigh*
Confuse about AOS card production/decision!
