Are you guys going the CR-1 route now?

I didn't because I have a learner's permit, but they probably want to know so that they can set your insurance rate applicably. Not sure where you can get this done, but can probably look on Province of Ontario website to see if Ontario was the only province you lived in.

I had my interview in Montreal and I brought an accordian folder with all of our stuff in it. My fiancee brought a small folder with her stuff in it as well. If I were you I would get and accordian folder so that you can label and be organized. All you would need to do is show them what they want to see so you would just take that out and show them. The fact that it says "There are currently no appts available for your trip purpose" means that there are no available appts so it would be useless to check. I would keep checking and if there are appts available click YES. Then on the other page it will ask you again if you want to change your appt or not. If you do select the date/time, then click yes. At the bottom there should be something that says "Reschedule Interview" or something of that sort. You click on that and it will give you the calendar if there are any available sooner dates. If there is a sooner date you would click on the date and then click "yes" to change. If there are no dates you would click "no" to keep the date that you have.

What happened for me was my NOA2 expiration date was a January date in 2013 and my interview was not until February 26, 2013. What I did was I emailed the Consulate and they said that at the interview the CO (Consular Officer) would extend the expiration date so there is no worry, they will automatically extend your expiration date at the interview so that you can go to the interview. I have experienced the same things while I was going through the process with, my now wife. It is stressful then the detailedness combined with other things gets to us. Remember that He will give you peace that passes all understanding (Phil. 4:6). I am glad that I could be of help to you guys.

Yea that would be nice, I saw your post. Did you call the consulate to see if they could get you an earlier date? My wife and I are doing well. I am currently looking for a job as I got my EAD/AP a week or two ago. Hope that the rest of this journey goes smoothly for you and your fiancee.
