just had our interview in December after waiting for almost 2 years for this man.....we are waiting in AP......and yesterday I found out my fiancé has been cheating on me with other women (not woman) this whole time for 2 years .....since the beginning......everything was a lie......how cud I have been so stupid?

our interview was on December 11th, 2013 and went exactly the same way...sounds like we had same officer.......officer was rude, but it was short....officer would not tell him if he was approved or not....said, "you'll find out when you send in your new TB results." and handed him a paper with TB box checked......the day ahmed went to get TB results (1 week later)....surprisingly....the embassy called him asking him where were the results...ahmed explained and said he is sending them next day......ahmed asked the woman who called if he should be sending in his passport too (cuz they didn't take it at interview)....she said, "yes defiantly send in your passport too"......the embassy received ahmed's TB and passport on dec, 31st and they updated our case on janurary 2nd.....and now we are waiting...haven't heard anything yet

.....and right after our interview our status on CEAC changed to administrative processing

my fiancé has interview in cairo on December 11th .....I just saw something on here about having orginal certified divorce documents.....he (beneficiary) has all his orginals.......me (petitioner) is divorced......was I suppose to send him orginals of my divorce decree........he has a photo copy of it and we sent photo copy to uscis......and they only gave us 7 day notice for interview!!!! has any one in cairo heard of such little notice for interview.......7 days people....7 since he got the call from dhl saying he has a letter......how are we suppose to get everything together in 7 days when we are on opposite sides of the planet....

not to mention its been 5 months since we sent in his medical results...more like 6 month since he had the exam.....but it takes 10 days to get medical results back!! they only gave of us 7!! ........I sure hope they don't expect of us to have new one at the interview

ahmed got the call from DHL this morning saying they had a letter for him from the embassy, it was the interview letter....he is scheduled for an interview December 11th........1 year and 4 months to get to this point.....i can't believe he has interview in 7 days......i feel like i just won the lottery!! lol

p.s. please fill out your timeline.....it helps the rest of us figure out what average wait times are

i filed around the same time as u, august 2012...submitted packet 3 july 18th.....4 months now..still waiting for interview date.......5-6 months seems to be the norm at cairo to get an interview

well it's that time again.....end of the month...waiting for that interview list to come out for the cairo embassy (a.k.a slowest incompetent embassy in the world).....let's hope and pray there is more than 1 k-1 visa on there!....can't believe they only did 1 last month

i'm just not even going to set myself up for disappointment this time.....i'm just going to assume we will not be on the november list....it's only been 4 months, apparently there is some rule about u can't get interview under 5 months

oh yeah.....had my lawyer put in a inquiry as to what the hell is taking so long....2 weeks ago.....still haven't freakin gotten a response from the embassy

disgusted.....just plain disgusted with this process

they said welcome to DOS things go much faster now..............once again we are always the exception.....3 months since we delivered packet 3 to the embassy and not one single word from them about an interview......this process is agonizing.....it's made to break families apart not bring them together........i thought my fiance would have been here by now....it's been 1 year and 3 months and we haven't even gotten an interview date let alone think about bullshit AP we will get

i can't believe they only scheduled 1 k1 visa interview for october.....and with the government shutting down probably doesn't even matter cause the embassy will most like close consular services and have to reschedule.....more waiting guys.....just when u think it can't get worse it does our own government shuts down....

don't get stuck on numbers of how long its going to take....every case is different......when i started this process (aug 2012) we thought he would be here with me in 1 year.......and now here we are still waiting for an interview date a year and 1 month later with not much hope we will get an interview date anytime soon with the recent mess going on over there, let alone getting AP.....i would estimate now it is a 2 year process, if it happens sooner then your one of the lucky ones....there is no rhyme or reason to why some cases go fast and some get dragged out till the end of time ( i have had a 13 months of researching every corner of the net for this)

maybe im confused but.....why would you have him send the documents here to the usa, if ur at the nvc stage? your next step would be sending the orginal documents to the embassy in cairo

fyi...it just cost me $100 to send him my necessary original documents from usa to egypt thru DHL....fedex fees were about $20 higher

has anyone noticed that the site says they update it weekly?.....but that's not the case seems they only update monthly

i was wondering the same thing....because some people on that new list got an interview for 9/2 but the the list wasn't posted till 9/5.....hope they werent; relying on the site and missed their interview ....hopefully they were notified by mail

so what exactly is required for egyptian to go to malaysia?......my fiance has his egyptian passport

and has anyone noticed that the interview schedule list site says it updates weekly and if it has not been updated in past week please email and they will update................it's been a month!.........i emailed and no response......i emialed last month and they actually emailed me back and said it will be update in few days and sure enough it was, on august 1st.....but now nothing

great question OP.....im wondering the same.....dhl delivered my packet 3 to the embassy on july 16th and we have not heard anything from the embassy about an interview date yet

there seems to be no rhyme or reason as to how fast someone gets interview date....i went to the schedule list and started plugging in case numbers in the status check site that had interviews for k1 for the month of august.....it was all over the place....some updates were 1 month prior to interview and some up to 1 year but the average seemed to be 5 months.....but knows what the last updated date means.....right now mine says; created april 30th...updated july 18th

its so frustrating not having any answers.....just the big great unknown

Your allowed to come to Egypt but they advice you not to, Don't worry its not very unsafe like they show it on Tv.I promise you that the economy crisis and prices going high are the most things that we feel right now.Clashes and shooting is always by the demonstrations which you must stay away from.Come to Egypt.If you think that you been waiting for too long, We have been waiting for longer..Its been 4 years and am still in AP..be patient...things are getting better.

my fiance also does not want me to come to egypt right now, he wont allow me to come, he said it is not safe for me right now and wouldn;t be comfortable with me being in the streets....so if i went we would be stuck inside most of the time.......and my family would have a fit if i went right now...and to make the it more complicated i have a son so i can;t be running off to dangerous countries especially with my ex's mother (grandmother) that would love to use any reason to try to get custody of my son...so running off to a country when the state advises against it would not be good

I just filed ONLY for the first part of the petition for my husband to come here from Egypt. Been there twice to see him, we miss each other dearly & i feel that this situation is ONLY going to get harder with all the KHARRA BUSINESS going on in Egypt. We've came up with a plan, since im sick of going there, and hes sick of the BS going on over there.. We've decided to save money and meet in MALAYSIA. The airfare is inexpensive (imo) Egyptian citizens don't need a tourist visa to malaysia UNLESS they plan on staying more than 90 days. My family tells me, why don't i save money for when he comes here & for the petition etc etc?

seriously? he was under the asumption that getting a travel visa to another country would be just has hard and long process, or require alot of money just for the visa.....what other countries allow egptians in just on a egyptian passport?

we were one of the ones that had a extended delay from noa1 to noa2, it took 8 months to get that approval.....now we are in limbo with this horrific mess in egypt!.....it took us weeks to get dhl to deliver packet 3 to the embassy due to the closings and now people are saying 6+ months for an interview date!.....then we haven't even gotten to the AP that everyone gets in cairo! OMG.....i don't even know if im asking a question or whining like a baby i'm so completely stressed out and depressed over this.....,my life is in limbo.....when we first started this process we thought it would take 1 year to a year and a half...but at this point it looks like its going to take 3 years!........these government people don't care they are playing with our lives...they give no answer for anything......now at this point i can't even go to egypt to visit him!...its been one year since i seen him last and now i can't even go! cuz the depart of state has deffered all americans from going to egypt and has requested all americans out of egypt like 3 times now!!! i beat myself up daily wishing i would have went back in march or april before all this ####### happened but everyone said wait u just got approved the rest will go fast.......unless ur fiance is in egypt! and the country is going to !...why dont we qualify for expedites???? if i can't even go to egypt and visit him that alone should qualify for an expedite!!!....... .i'm just so frustrated and can't move forward or plan anything in my life
