  1. Hello all! I hope I am posting this in the correct forum.

I just sent the IV packet to the NVC, but I want make sure of some things.

Do I need to send my husband all of the original cards and letters he has sent to me and I to him for his interview? I am unsure if digital copies or scans would be acceptable because these items are so precious to us that I don't want to take a chance on posting them and them get lost.

We have been keeping records of our skype calls and emails, phone calls, etc. I just want him to be as prepared as possible and just wondered if originals of the cards he sent along with flowers and love letters is necessary or if a digital scanned copy would suffice. Either way, I am prepared.

    Thank you in advance!

  3. Hello

We are having a terrible time with the transition from USCIS to NVC. We received the NOA2 on May 24th, which was quick (we submitted it in early March) but the NVC still has no record of receiving the application after 25 business days.

We have called the service line and emailed research after 15 business days but have yet to get a response.

Is anyone else having the same problem with the gap between NOA2 and NVC receiving the application, particularly lately (as if they are very busy lately?) Has this been a common problem in the past?

    Thanks for your help

    Eric and Shoko

Yes, exact same problem, only I finally received an email from NVCresearch stating that they did not have our petition but would be contacting USCIS on our behalf. I emailed them on June 18 and received that response on 6/25. Our's is the I-130 approval.

  4. i am also waiting ...its 40days gone..nothing happen..i have not receive any response from nvcresearch..also not response from congresssman..

I called the USCIS and the rep told me it could take 30 to 90 days before NVC received it. She said that just because I received an approval letter, it didn't mean that the file was mailed immediately. Another waiting game. I have decided, for my own sanity, to just go day by day. My husband and I wanted to be together for our first wedding anniversary, but it seems as though that won't happen. I wouldn't be able to take off from work.

We are all in this together; fears, waiting, and happiness alike. I am just glad that Skype exists.

  5. So, did NVC tell you that your case hasn't received yet?

Mine was May 21 and NVC received our case on 11th of June.

I also sent emails to NVC, that's not helpful. 10 days later to reply you

You can call them to ask them whether they receive your case or not.

If so, you don't need to worry much.

They will take another 10 business days to assign a case number for you.

We are also waiting for our case number.

They told us that they had not received our case yet. Knowing yours was accepted on the 11th has given me a bit more of a scare.

  6. Sorry if I am posting in the incorrect place, but here goes...

I received the NOA2 for the I-130 stating that it was approved on May 25 and that it was being forwarded to the NVC. I realize that it takes at least 15 days and we have had a holiday, but I was wondering how long it could take before we are assigned a case number?

My husband and I have both called the NVC several times. They have not received our information. I am a little worried. The NVC rep told me to scan the NOA2 approval and email it with our stats to NVCresearch@state.gov. Could our packet gotten lost? I am so worried.

    Thank you in advance!

  7. This is exactly how I found out we were approved. I was looking for an email and text, but nothing. Just decided to put in my receipt number and there is was...approved. I don't know what is going on, but I received the NOA2 paper yesterday and my hubby and I are thrilled! As a side not, I accidentally posted my excitement in the wrong forum when I found out. I still can't figure out this site.

    Congratulations!

  8. I haven't said much of anything on this site, but it is one of the places that has made me feel like my husband and I are not alone. I know people have waited longer than we have but, as John Dryden, the influential English poet, literary critic, translator, and playwright is quoted as saying, “Love reckons hours for months, and days for years; And every little absence is an age." We all know the truth that resounds in his observance. My love and I still have to go through the next phase; more preparation and waiting, but I just wanted you all to know that we are thankful for each and every one of you! Praise be to God!
