  1. interview is in Abu Dhabi and yes she will need to have passport to return, so it seems like we are stuck. I am here with her also. It's quite inconvenient though being that we need to be here a couple days before interview for medical exam and now it seems like up to another week till she possibly gets visa.

  2. I have a question, if all goes well and we get the approval after our interview do they mail my fiance her visa or do the hold on to her passport? Her flight back home is 2 days after interview. We cannot really afford any more hotel fee's. So again IF we get the approval whats typically the standard procedure? Is the Visa stamped into her passport or is it a separate document that they can mail to her?

  4. Sean, you just have to mail the supporting documents (of your uncle) to the embassy! And your fiancee will tell them you have mailed them, so they'll let her in. 2011 extension is exactly what we did as well, don't worry!

I will be attending the interview and bringing all the documents with me. We will take the extension as well as w-2's, also he has quite a bit of assets as well that we are disclosing. So you think we will be ok?

  5. Push, so your telling me I don't even need i-864? My uncle is sponsoring and I'm running out of time. He filed extension for 2011 so we were going to use his assets...They never mailed me anything, just sent me an email with a check list and nothing about affidavit of support and where to send it. They also never mailed me fiance anything either....

  6. We have our interview on July 3rd!!!

My uncle is going to be the co-sponsor for our Affidavit of Support being that I'm a student. I sent him over the Affidavit of Support form and he is telling me that its not the right one. How many different versions are there? This is the same one on the USCIS web-site, is there another?

  7. I just wanted to add this to make sure you know. Your co-sponsor will fill out the I-134 and provide his documents with it. He will also need proof of being a USC or LPR. You are the primary sponsor though, and you will still need to fill out your own I-134. If you have never worked, then write a statement explaining you had no income because you are a student and were not legally required to file taxes.

How would you exactly show you are a US Citizen? My friend was not born in US but I know he is a citizen...

  8. So for the affidavit of support I will need a co-sponsor. Our case is being handled out of Abu-Dhabi but from what I understand not all consulates accept co-sponsors? I have never worked and just graduating from school so I have never filed for a tax return or have proof of any income. My co-sponsor however makes well above $100,000 a year. Will I be able to take 3 years of his tax returns and have him sign the I-134? Under relationship to sponsor what do we put?

As always any advice would be greatly appreciated.

  9. Thanks everyone for the quick reply's I already feel more relaxed. I actually called back NVC cause the first woman who told me that info seemed to me to be extremely rude and mean. I called back 30 min later and a new agent pulled up my file and mentioned to me that everything was ok and that I was "misinformed". She said they received my packet only this last Friday and to check back by the end of the week to see if it has left to embassy yet!
