They issued a 221g for employment letter. Don't know why they would want that when my stubs and 4 years of return making 60-70k per year. They wanted the letter, I emailed the consulate about this because my employment would be a breach of their policy if I asked for a letter. Hopefully it all works out, I hope we don't have to pay another 240 for an interview its what they are not...

I just like how they take bribery its pathetic. The consulate there does not abide by any US regulations nor laws, seems they can just mandate anything they want.

Instead her father went, instead of going to the Consulate, he went to the Laotians Bureau of Diplomatic Solutions and asked over there. I remember I told them to go to the American Embassy but some how it was a miscommunication. They finally went to the American Embassy on Wednesday and got everything.

yah I got the case number. Everything is picked up and ready to be filled. Got the police clearance taken cared of too. I guess I just have to head out next week and do the baby's CBRA and Passport, then go in to schedule a medical, since you can't book an appointment over the phone.

No, embassy just contacted my fiance to get her packet. I am flying out next week to probably finish up her paperwork, medical and get my son's CBRA. No matter what they said I have to go and start his paperwork so I will take the time to finish it all.

Any word from your fiance if they called to get the paper work yet? Jusr curious.

I would give them 2 weeks i noticed they sent out a package to Laos from NVC yesterday. Dont know if its a petition but says dipolmatic papers only. I guess our interview would be around the same time.

Ya, typo, good catch. No I haven't called NVC at all yet. If you had same NoA2 date as I, then I would think they recieve and send out our petitions this week. Looks like it is anywhere from 15-25 days now.

Thanks hope your noa2 is not that long. I might of been approved but i have to get out of NVC too. I think NVC process time had jumped up also because they wait till they have alot of petitions from CSC or VSC then will send them all. Gl to you bro hope that NoA2 comes quick.

I've forgot to ask you bro, when you fiance got her Police record did she get it in Vientiane? Because I would have to think that if my fiance resides in Vang Vieng she would have to get it from Vang Vieng district police head quarters. Just wanted to clearify that. Thanks!
