  1. Thanks you so much for your reply. I will make sure he order the transcripts asap, however will you please give me some info on how can he prove his current income? we have a letter from the employer and this tax subs anything else that might help?

    Thanks again!

I used only his bank statements for the past 3 months ,tax return transcript 1120 , and extension certificate. I guess that was ok as my visa was approved . My interview was at the London embassy.

  2. One of my road Dogs flew Emirates last year, he had an 11 hour layover in Dubai I think. No, thanks.

If only Nigeria had visionary leaders and they brought back Nigerian Airways. 5 non stops from LAX weekly with generous cargo shipping area will be filled.

Emirates usually put you in a nice hotel for free, so it pays if you have extra days for a brief holiday in Dubai. If not forget Emirates as the layovers are always long

  3. According to the Flowchart located in Guides, After receiving the 2nd Notice of Action (NOA), my case gets forwarded by "MY" Service Center to the National Visa Center (NVC); then my case gets Forwarded by NVC to U.S. Embassy in my fiance's country.

My question is: What happens once it's at the "MY" National Visa Center (NVC)? I'm a little confused because it seem like they can just simply send it straight to my fiance's Embassy. Can you explain? Thank you in advance. :)

K1s briefly pass through the NVC to get a case number, checks (name checks)are done and then the case is forwarded to the embassy.

Some cases are held up at the NVC when they do the checks, this is called additional processing (AP). I think this doesn't happen often.

The embassy will contact the beneficiary when they receive the case from NVC

  4. Hi ,

I’m also a Nigerian based in the UK , I have dual citizenship but applied for the K1 on my Nigerian passport.

You will need a police report from Nigeria and the UK. The Nigerian one is valid for 3 months but the UK one is valid for 12 months. You should apply for the UK police report when your NOA2 date is close.

I just applied for mine last week , I got my NOA2 yesterday so the timing was perfect.

For vaccinations you may be able get them done at your GP , here is a link that discusses what is needed after your NOA2

    Hope this helps.

  5. Proof of ties to home is a good idea if you are going to make frequent trips.

I asked that question of CBP three different times. Once to the CBP 1-800 customer service number. Twice on different occasions of the agent at the airport checking me back into the US. "What's on that computer? Do you know I have a foreign fiance? Do you know when people have immigrant petitions filed on their behalf?" I was told 3 times that CBP does not have that kind of information.

Actually for me , they knew I had filed . He checked his computer and said I filed in November , I never gave them that information.

They let me in anyway, they didn't ask me for any proof of ties , not even the return ticket , although it's important to have the proof of ties with you
