  1. Another issue aside from your domicile is how you are going to show that you earn enough to meet the 125% poverty level required to petition for your husband.

Can you get a co sponsor if you think you have an issue with meeting the 125%. I have rental income of about 40K to 50K net yearly, saving in bank of $120,000 and mutual funds of 130,000, stocks at 80k,but NO wages for W2.

Frist to I want her cousin to co-sponsor to help with meeting the requirements of support. Second reason, I want her cousin for support is if anything goes wrong with the marriage once in the USA. Both of us have to support her and not just me. My insurance policy. Her cousin is her aunt in NY.

  2. She has a few friends who have married Americans and have just left after a few months to go back to China. We have only been married a little over a year. Things have been shaky from day one. I don't want to be her legal sponsor anymore because she is fraudulent.

Surprised that her few friends left after a few months to go back to China. Those that are fraudulent usually want money, a divorce, and to stay in the USA. Her friends going back to China is unusual.

I think you spent too little time with her before she came over to the USA. How many times did you visited her and how long were the visits ? This is not the first story I have heard about a marriage having trouble from day one coming to the USA.

Cam ypu tell me what is her age and your age ?

It sounds like you two don't have a common language. Your Chinese is bad, and her English is bad. I wonder how did you two get passed US immigration.

  3. Hey VJ'ers,

I just thought I would let you know that we received our NOA2 today Our case has been sent to the NVC and then on to Dublin

We filed our I-130 on the 7th of July through the California Service Centre so thats 5 and a bit months since our NOA1.(6 and a bit Total)

I hope you all who are waiting start getting some good news soon.

    Cheers

    Ashley&Brian

I filled I-130. The NOA1 dated is July 14. I'm a US citizen, born and raised in the USA. Was told for non-USC it takes a little longer. So for me, it should be about 1-2 weeks for my noticed of NOA2, finally after 6 months. Need start to get ready for the next step.

  4. 1. Before getting a CRBA, Consular Record of Birth Abroad, do you need a DNA or blood test for them to see if you are the parents ?

    2. After getting a CRBA and passport, the child can immediately come to the USA with one of the parents, yes or No ?

I think I'm in the same boat (I130). I was born and raised in the USA.

I have a child coming soon. Most likely the child will come before the interview process. I am still waiting for my NOA2. It has been over 6 months since receiving NOA1. The child is expected sometime in July/August 2012. Planning to leave the Child with the grand parents for 1 to 1.5 year.

    Thanks...

PS forgot to ask, if the child can't come over with one of the parent, I am assuming I have to file another i-130 and wait 12 to 14 months.
