      The status should change...if you do not have the green card in 30 days call USCIS and speak to a supervisor. They will get you your card but it will take another 30 days.

      No he is still waiting. I talked to a supervisor at USCIS and they said they would send a service request to the Texas Service Center to find out what happened to it. So far no news. We have to wait 30 days before they will do anything else.

      On Elis website you can also email them with questions and they will answer you. Just give them your receipt number showing you paid for the green card.

      I know you do not speak Spanish...you just say you do to get a human on the line then tell them that you only speak English and they will speak English with you. that is a trick i have used in the past. The only other thing you can do is listen carefully and push the right numbers to get a human.

    i have been calling 800-375-5283 to confirm my green card status, but it is all automated not way to talk to human, can you plz guide me how to confirm if you have talked to them on phone, i shall be thankfull to you

      If it asks you if you speak Spanish say yes that is the fastest way to get a human on the phone. Try it and let me know what happens.

      Hello...I am so sorry that I did not answer your questions...the visa journey site was having problems with my account but all problems are repaired now. You must call USCIS to see about your card. Go on Elis website and look around for a contact number. My husband is still waiting for his green card. We should be hearing from USCIS this week about what happened to it.

    hey guys i just entered to usa last week, my port of entry was abu dhabi, they received my packet and i had to wait in a big hall with other peoples, after 30 minutes i was called by a lady officer she took my finger impression and signature on a form and gave me back my passport and say you can go now, they did not stamped my passport nothing, is this normal ? plus how long this take to receive green card after paying 165$ fee ? thanks

      It should take 30 days to get your green card but my husband has been here 2 months and didn't get his. There has been a mistake with USCIS and today they are going to try and find out why he doesn't have his green card.

      He got his social security card 9 days after he got here.
