i got approved on the 30th of april and it took one month before NVC recieved it but the good part is i got my case number the same day just keeping calling you dont have to everyday maybe every other day will do

yes i had an engagement party

it was great i used a restaurant and i had about 22 guests

my mom sisters and close friends were there

it is not mandatory to have an engagement party at all thats your choice

i am not sure whick packet your talking about but we had a party after we got engaged so none of those pic were sent in with our packet but we did send pics, ticket subs, stamps from passport to show how much time he visited

the amount of money you spend on your party depends on the place and the amount of persons you invite

Ours has just been received and have not yet been assigned a case number after almost one month since it was approved. I know how difficult it is when the wait seems like forever. You just have to not think too hard about it, and just pray, be positive, and hope things will go smoothly in a timely manner.

trust me i do pray it just seem like everytime we are one step forward there is a pause but thanks for the comforting words

Hi, I know it can seem to be a long wait. But I will say that I know it can take that long. All the NVC is doing is making sure that everything is in order. I know it seems that it's unfair, I was even talking with someone this morning that had been waiting for 20 days... but today within an hour of us talking there case had been completed and a interview had been assigned. Your almost thru the entire process, just hang in there, and watch your Email! That notice can come anytime within 10-15 business days. You can't count the weekends or the holidays of course. But before you know it!!!! BAM!! It's there. Just hold on a little while longer, and when it arrives, it's amazing how quickly those days go by. I promise! I know because it happened to my wife and I, and we moved thru the whole process in what seemed no time at all. She had her interview within 30 days of our notice. And as of this morning, her time, the process was complete, and the VISA will be delivered to her within a week.

Just hold on a little while longer! Good NEWS is right around the corner.

NVC received my case on the 31st of may and i was assigned the case number the same day....i called them yesterday and was told my case is still there and i am wondering why...they told me that it takes 2-4 weeks before they send it out and i'm like really why? if the case number was assigned i dont see why it has to be there so long....i thought the calling game was over but i guess not

I have a few questions hope you guys can help.

i am curious about the x-ray. what exactly are they looking for why we need to do that?

what type of sicknesses or diseases can cause denial?

i am worried

well you have to call NVC to see if they receive your case and give you your new case number normally it takes 15-20 business days for NVC so wait until that time to call them they wont send you an email unless you email them.....at this stage its a calling game...good luck

OMFG ... I think life is crazy .. so much blessed right now ... I Just got good news from my fiance ... he called NVC .. and guess what ... WE got our number from NVC .. Thats amazing .. i was just some hours before very upset and now im happy ...

after 25 days we got our RDJ ... yay ....

After a month of waiting NVC had received my petition yesterday and i got my case # the same time i am so thankful cause i was really starting to worry what had happen to it

hey everyone i am fustrated and tired of this foolishness every step there is some problems

i want to know why person who got approved after me NVC has received their case and they are assigned their new case numbers already if USCIS sent out the petition as they said they did why is it NVC has not recieved it as yet i am so mad right now and just cant deal with this and we are not getting a straight answer at all i had to wait 5 months for the petition to be approved and now i am at the stage where things should be alot faster and its not what are we suppose to do i am confused, fustrated and angry i really need some closure

i would advice you to wait until you get your interview date to do the police record so that the date would be close to your interview date where the no-inpediment is concern i would advice you to go ahead and do it i paid for express and trust me i didnt get it the time they said i would it took 2-3 weeks

hey everyone i am really fustrated with this and i need yall advice next week is gonna be 1 month and nvc still have not recieved my petition i keep calling and still nothing i dont know what to do at this point is it possible that my petition can be forwarded straight to my embassy cause i called last night and the rep ask me to read what was on my approval notice but i didnt have it with me please i need some comforting words at this moment i am really lost i feel hopeless and if there is anyone who had their petition at nvc for this long or longer please let me know thanks yall in advance
