Thank you for your response. Ok so it takes thwm fairly quickly to look at the paperwork after receiving it?
After they receive your packet they will automatically give you 1 year extension. THEN they will schedule new biometrics and start to look at your packet.

BethAnn-
I consider marriage a partnership -not a dictatorship, As such when one person wants the other person do do something it needs to be discussed and mutally agreed upon. There is nothing wrong with someone wanting you to be in good health but they can't demand you cease. Only you can choose that is want you want. True love does not need to make demands. I believe marriage is 100 -100 and not 50-50. Both need to give 100 as much as they can to truly experience the kind of marriage we all want.
Hope you get it worked out.
Peace to you-
Bob

I filed in May for the AOS and we recieved a waiver letter 08/29/2013 and then on 10/21/2013 we recieved notice that the card was in production for Nhung.
-
We received the same notice dated 08/29/2013after filing for AOS in May of this year. Yesterday I recieved an email that the card was in production with no interview! So maybe it won't be too long for you either. Good Luck on this great journey we all have started here.
-
Congrats on your new Green Card! We got the notice yesterday that ours was in production with no interview.
-
That is correct.

Hi there!
I received the same letter dated August 29, 2013 as well. We filed AOS last February 28, 2013, almost 7 months of waiting. Let's hope it wouldn't take another 6 months to get our approval.
+2
We received the same letter dated the same date.

C9.
I applied for my SSN about 12 days after my arrival in the U.S. and in my maiden name; received the card within 2 work days in the mail. After the wedding I went back to the Social Security Office and changed my name to my new married name. No problems at all.
Edit: Wait - you are saying that you came on a K1 visa, but in your information to the left it states F1 visa. Which one did you come on here?
It is getting close to the end of the year and it is good to have a SS number for tax filing purposes with your spouse, even if you do not have your EAD yet.

In Montana if you are in your vehicle and if the car is running or even if the key is still in the ignition and NOT running you can get a DUI even if they were not physically driving the vehicle at the time of the DUI stop. If you fell asleep in your vehicle with the keys in the ignition or if the keys were in your possession you may still be arrested on a DUI charge because you were displaying physical control of the vehicle by possessing the keys to the vehicle.
OP: You seem a bit confused. Your B2 is over and done. Dead. You can't use it anymore. You are also not using VWP. Don't even try to get an ESTA. It doesn't apply to you at all.
You are entering the US on the AP.
The rules for VWP etc don't apply to you any more. That is all in the past, no longer applicable to you. You have obtained a K-1 visa, presumably you admitted about the issue (I can't believe sleeping in a car while drunk is illegal, btw, interesting). You have since married the petitioner for the K-1 and have applied for AOS.
You will be paroled with your AP.

You will want to use your married name on all the documents you send in for the AOS as that is how your name will come will come back to you on your I-131 and I-765 if you applied for them along with the I-485 form.
I did the opposite as you. I took my fiance to the SS office and got her SS card in her name as it was on her I-94 and then after we were married and we had our marriage license we went back and had the name on her SS card changed into her married name.

7. Item Number 14.Federal Income Tax Information. You must provide either an IRS transcript or a photocopy from your own records of your Federal individual incometax return for the most recent tax year. If you believe additional returns may help you to establish your ability tomaintain sufficient income, you may submit transcripts or photocopies of your Federal individual income tax returns
for the three most recent years
My suggestion is if you provide the numbers for three years provide the documentation.
-
The letter we received that said no interview will be required also said that the USCIS anticipates a 6 month delay in completing our case and to call them after 6 months if we don't hear any thing from them within that time period.
-
The transcript is enough and it takes about 10 days to receive it. And be sure and ask for 3 years worth and send them in.
-
I made only one copy for the three forms and one set of passport photos. That worked for me as they combine the 765 and 131 onto one card when it is issued. Your milage may vary though.................
-
This topic has been much discussed.--------- Some send in 6, some like myself sent in 2 all with no problems. Even though I sent in 2, I would recomend the 6 just in case. (I'm a littel bull-headed ) The 765 and 131 are both included the one card my wife received. We are just waiting on the green card the USCIS says will be processed within 6 months without an interview based on the letter we received today.
-
I believe that should work. He just needs to explain -'giai Trinh'- why he didn't do it right the first time. I forgot after 18 years of being single or I thought they were asking about my current status etc.

I will let you know when the i-485 I filed is finished :-) I filed for AOS, EAD and I-485. The first two have been apporoved and the EAD has been updated to production ordered for the new card. I only sent two passort photos total with the application. We shall see........
-
I think it will be a lot easier if you fill out the i-485 paperwork with your "new" name. Just make sure you sign the marriage license with your new name :-)
Have you applied for a social Security card yet? if not - go in now and apply with your your passport in hand. After you get married bring a notorized copy of your license with your "new" name and passport and they will issue a new social Security card with your new name on it (at least they did for my fiance/wife). Makes filing taxes a lot easier too.

I had this issue when my wife came (fiancee at that time) but they reversed the 2 middle names. Almost always you will see last name, middle name, first name on any paperwork from Vietnam. Because my wife has two middle names (Thi Hong) the government reversed them and that what Homeland used. I tried fighting it but finally said to myself-who cares. When my wife and I got married she changed her name to: her first name. her last name, my last name on the marriage certificate and now her new SS card is good.
