    Sorry everyone for not getting here sooner. Husband and I had a terrible day. He was denied, for what reason we have no idea. I went to speak to a supervisor and was treated like #######! I contacted the congressman who is handling our case and we are trying to get a second interview before I leave. Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes.

    Lord I thank you for my baby boy using the floor fan as his own air freshner to spread the entire bottle of baby powder around his room, celing, carpet, bedding, clothing, pillows and drapes. I also thank you that my clothes dryer quit before I could dry any of the bedding and clothing we pulled out of the room. Your word says to give thanks in all things. So I'm thanking you and not stressing cause I know you will work it out for me! The devil can try as he might, but I'm still ...

      It's kind of funny, though, and I bet it smelled fantastic!...If only you weren't allergic to the dang baby powder. Did you take a photo of the room, so you can show him when he gets older and complains to you about things his kids do? LOL!

    By this time six years ago, I had been in labor for three days...three days later. I had a beautiful baby boy. Happy Birthday Ezekiel Micah! We love you with all our hearts!

    I thank God we got our date for October 11th...My 1 year anniversary is on the 13th....I will get to spend it with my hubby in Nigeria celebrating our approval!! =)

    No, news again! =( Classes start again on Monday and I need to study in advance so that my time in Nigeria will not affect my grades. May not be here much, but if I hear anything about a date, you will be the second to know (after my hubby of course) lol

    Just got off the phone with the NVC they said all the interview dates for September are gone.....Looks like October! My husband is not a happy camper, as we had wanted to spend our anniversary in the states!! :( Ah well, what can you do!

      LOL! You all make me laugh! When i was in Naija my husband told me he was "cold somehow" when it got down to the upper 70s. I knew then that he'd struggle with winter where I live.

    Our case has been closed since the end of July. It's been 3 weeks that we will be sitting at the NVC, and still NO interview date yet!! :(

    My husband asked me last night, "Baby, how long do you think it will be before they schedule our interview?" He was hoping I would be home in September, now we are praying for October. He still reminds me, it is all in God's time and God would not have brought us this far to abandon us now. I love my husbands faith! He keeps calm when I feel like a storm is brewing.

    And NOW his case is officially transferred to Nigeria. It only took two months. No big deal, right?He even has a spiffy new NVC case number that starts with "LGS".

      Flash forward a month, after him getting the run-around each time he checked back, and he found out the man he'd paid the fees to had been fired for pocketing the money and never filing the application.

      When he was ready to leave, he found out that if he tried to cross the border with her, he could be arrested for child trafficking and that in order to cross legally, he had to get immigration cards to show that she's been living with him in Ghana the past 2 1/2 years.

      We have paid all the fees, but don't have everything in yet. My husband ran into some trouble with taking our daughter out of Ghana and back to Nigeria to get his birth certificate and her passport. She entered on her mother's passport a couple years ago and stayed when her mum went back to Nigeria.

    How may little boys have The Incredible Hulk / Conan The Barbarian call them early in the morning and pray for them in a beautiful Nigerian accent before attending their very first day of "big boy school" (Kindergarden)? My son is the luckiest little boy in the world! And how did he say thanks to They Hulk/Conan? My baby told his dad, "I love you so much" in his Igala language. I thought the Hulk and Conan didn't cry?

      I am getting an extra dose of patience as I watch everyone who was behind me in the process zoom ahead, while we seem to get stuck at every turn. I'm honestly happy for everyone who makes it, just getting frustrated that we're not moving ahead with the pack.

      I work for a school district where I live, so for 9 months out of the year, I experience nonstop stress. But it definitely helps with passing the time waiting for my honey. I HAD hoped to get him here some time this summer, but hey...I guess it will happen when it happens.
