    I just checked the DHL web-site, it says the package shipped on August 20 to Moscow was delivered and signed for on August 24.

    If this was it, then I dont understand why they say that it's not delivered yet :(

    OMG seems like this messed up thing will never end...FML

    Hey Guys just an update:

    The congressman's office called me this morning. She told me that she called Vermont again today and they told her that our file has now been assigned to an adjudicator.. :thumbs:

    She also asked them why some people that received RFE's after ours were already adjudicated and we are still waiting. They said that doesn't happen, and if it does, it's very rare... (yeah, okay :whistle: ) I have about 15 instances of it happening around our case alone..

    So that gives me a little hope that maybe NOA2 will come this week. Fingers, toes and all other appendages crossed! :P

    Hey Tex, after i received a similar email from my congressman saying it was assigned to an adjudicator it took them around 5 days to actualy approve it, SO I have my hopes up for U, it's seriously ur time this week!!! :yes:

    High everybody, congrats to those February fillers that got approved and who are reading this thread :)

    Had a crazy week and just quickly went through the thread actually hoping to see some good news for Texas... Hang in there girl, it'll happen sooner than you know!!!

    Called NVC today, they received our case yest, will mail it out next week. So my fiancée is most prolly going to hear from the embassy by the end of it!

    Speaking of her, we got in a huge fight a week ago and are still barely talking :(

    Oh my god!!!! I was driving home and my phone chimed that I had a text. I was just going to ignore it, but I took a peek to see who it was from and it was those infamous digits that come at the top of a USCIC text.

    I almost wrecked my car!!!! I got to the stop light, clicked on my mail, and there it was APPROVED!!!! I started bawling, crying.gif the car behind me was honking at me to go, oops8rh.gif I forgot how to drive for a minute!!!! I have never felt happier in my life. I called Ray from my cell, and he knew as soon as he saw me calling because we never call, we text or skype....

    195 days!!!!!! Thank you all for being so supportive. I need a drink, or a hug, or something... not sure..... kicking.gifkicking.gifkicking.gif

    Now all I can think about is you Texas22... Please say you got one too....

    Texas, Mel, nobody is going anywhere :) like I said earlier today I had this feeling that this week was the week n here u go, I'm so sure ur getting approved this week too, hang in there!! I know it's easy to say for me right now, but seriously we just need as many positive thoughts for you as possible!

    Ummmm actually can't think straight right now :blink:

    What's next?! Should I call NVC?

    Texas, man i feel helpless at the point..

    Rayandmal, I have crazy dreams, can't basically get any good sleep...

    I just hope it's a sigh that it's gona b a good week for all of us who's still waiting

    Sabi, if not for ur updates, just seeing vj timeline, I think I'd b crying right now cuz it only shows feb peeps getting approved when there is still a load of ppl from jan still waiting w some if them getting close to a 7 months mark....

    we are in a spot of trouble. it seems like our NOA2 letter got sent to my fiancee's old address. She moved from the apartment, notified the post office about a change of address about 2 weeks now and changed the address on USCIS online July 30, now we are hearing that if the post office dont return the letter to uscis for them to send it to the new address, we are gonna be charged $400 just to get the NOA2 letter back. :(

    Thank you Dare! It will happen for you soon!

    You know I was able to put in a request for expedite, but I personally don't feel like it did anything for me. The way the approvals have been going, and getting notice at the same time as Sabi and Paul, it played out in the order it was always going to. That's just my personal opinion for my situation. I wouldn't do anything different and I would try everything I could because it helped me mentally to keep at it, so just hang in there. The only things that helped me was staying positive for my fiance, this thread and focusing on one day at a time.

    Also, there are so many positive messages, I can't seem to keep up with them so thank you to everybody! Let's keep it up for those waiting with RFEs and on their Embassies.

    Thanks a lot vosnmars!! Helps a lot not to feel left alone!

    And seems so surreal for me now, I just got an email from my congressman today that the expedite request didn't go through.... Can't help feeling depressed....

    WOW!!! I can't believe it... Was talking to my fiancee to say Good Night, and our call dropped like it often does... then the text message came in because the call ended... Case Status Changed... so I called her back... and said wait, wait, wait... I need to check something... (the website)... and there it was... APPROVED!!! We got share it together... SO FREAKIN COOOOOOOL!!! I don't think I will sleep much tonight...

    Seriously now I'm even happier) :) my petition was also received January 23, so I'm hoping so much that they will get to mine soon!!;)

    Hey guys, a little update from my congressman's office;

    "The background checks are cleared. The case has gone back to the officer but for right now, the officers are being told to do the I 130’s. We will have to keep following up."

    I know it doesn't mean that we're going to approved next week, but still...

    And it's bs that "the officers are being told to do the I 130’s" bc even here on VJ i can see the following:

    Yes. I could do some work remotely (medical writing). and maybe even pick up a job teaching English (I speak some Russian). Who knows? Maybe I'd never come back ha...If I will marry her there, they wouldn't make me leave. Yes. that has been a very long time for a background check (and the check is mainly on the petitioner at this point) The consulates handle the beneficiary....I think maybe it was a stalling mechanism to just get the office of their backs as they were beginning the big slow down. This denial has really put things in perspective. And I feel very bad for RachAl. We're all like a family here and everyone is in shock..After almost 7 months, she's denied...for no reason at all!

    The same thing, plan B becomes more and more real

    I feel so freaking bad for RachAl!!! I do not understand how this could possibly happen... So unbelievable

    There is only hope and faith left for us at the point, and I want to say THANK YOU to the big VJ family we have here, without you guys I would have already lost my mind!!!

    Me either...I'm very worried. This past month has been a nightmare. I guess I'll just get my affairs in order so that no matter what happens the separation will be over for me. I just don't know what to expect anymore. If they're issuing arbitrary denials now then god help us all...I wonder how much is background checks and how much is slowness. I guess at least they are still reporting January 16th as the processing date so technically there's some kind of backlog..But this turn of events really bothers me...and it will be even harder to sleep at night now....

    So if the K1 doesnt work out you're moving to Ukraine? Ive been thinking the same thing, out country is ridiculous for all that is happening to us all who is stuck right now!

    Well I got the first response about the background checks on June 29, and it seems like it's been there for a while...

    Neither of us has any criminal past! So idk what they've been checking for so long!

    The only thing I can think of is that my fiancée tried to apply for a tourist visa with an invitation from my family last summer but was too scared to mention that we had a relationship and she got denied. But they couldnt be checking that for months...

    Yeah.....that January 12th petition? That was us:(

    Guys...why!? Why would we be denied?? What reasons could you be? We have no criminal records, nothing. The journey is over for us now. I cannot wait any longer. We must be together. I am gonna get everything in order to move to him and marry him there. Does anybody have any advice? I'm in shock. Complete shock. 6.5 months and a denial. I don't understand!

    If I live with him there, can I apply for a marriage visa for the U.S. in like a year? I am certain I am going there. That's the only way. I pray no one else gets denied. What an unbelievable, horrible nightmare this year has been.

    I am so sorry to hear that! I know you will work it somehow, that's what you have each other for, hang in there!!!
