Oh I have to get her info where she lived since age 16...,I certainly don't know
-
It's Dhaka BD. I tried the link someone posted earlier and I can't understand it. OMG I'm also texting with my wife and getting information is like pulling teeth. She's not happy
-
Is a PCC needed for any place they lived more than 6 months??? What if it's a tiny village that wouldn't have such records I don't think?
-
Oh rapidvisa gets there $$$ first thing. I'll have to get the info right then my wife can log into the account and print it and resend. They've been pretty helpful until now. I do feel dumb for not looking it over closely though. I swear it seems like nothing is ever easy for me.
-
Well I figured out what happened and why ours got sent wrong. Ive been using rapidvisa to get all these forms prepared. I called them. It seems the NVC only recently has changed it to wanting addresses since age 16 and work history going 10 years instead of 5. They have not updated their software yet either. The guy I spoke to said I might get a lenient reviewer about that. So now I'm gonna have to get the extra info from my wife, call them back so they can manually input it and I will have it ready to resend if NVC wants it. My wife won't be happy tonight when I tell her about this.

I just noticed we didn't go back far enough either on question 30. Do they always catch a mistake like that or could I get lucky and get cased closed?
-
I would think they are going to have to need her birth certificate. Can you get it sent from Mexico somehow? have you also paid the 404$ fee?
-
Well I called them. The operator sounded foreign and didn't speak great English. He said he had no way of seeing if anything has been reviewed and give them 20 business days. Pretty much it in a nutshell.
-
Thanks for the info....should I start calling as early as today?
-
Hello all. I confirmed today that the NVC received my wife's DS-230 and someone did have to sign for it. They have had my I-864 for a couple of weeks now. All fees of course have been paid. What's our next step? Wait for contact from them by email about RFE or interview?
-
Ok thanks for the info, though it makes no sense.
I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.
-
SIF = "sign in fail"
SIF and case complete, from a previous post...what you write makes no sense.
-
Can anyone tell me what the acronym SIF means?

Ok I was just able to see the G-325 and the other address is listed there under her current. It's all the same city. I feel better...
-
Hey thanks a lot for your reply. I'm sorry if I come off as paranoid. Don't mean to seem that way. Of course if I do lose my source of income she's not coming! As for the country it's one I don't see here mentioned a whole lot and it's not that I care that anyone here knows. Far from it. Paranoid of my nosy ex-wife on that front. She has been in the same city for over 5 years. It's a very large city, one of the largest in the world. I will have to check about the G-325. So many forms and acronyms to remember. It's getting to be confusing.
-
wow....I sat here for 5 minutes typing out a timeline that's of no relevance to my question (I don't think) and that's the reply I get. Ooooooookay
-
the only way I can see this is on a phone. Here my timeline as I can best remember it. June 24 they got my I-130 in CA. Nov 10 they sent me an email saying it was approved. About Dec 7 NVC gave me a case #. About Dec 12 I had the 3032 form sent and all fees paid. About a week ago they got my I-864. That's the best I can do fer ya. Not gonna risk my job by accessing this on a work computer. Dont really feel like hitting a library. I also don't feel real comfortable giving a country name due to privacy reasons. If that's of importance to the answer of my question perhaps I can email it to you or something. Really I just need a good answer from someone that is knowledgeable.

Where it asks for present address my wife has put there where she is living but all her documents are tied to what she calls a more permanent address. It's an address of a relative and she did live there for awhile. I told her to get her police clearance certificate from the closest police station from where she lives but they have seen that different address on her other documents and told her she must get it from there. I need to know if this could be a problem and if so what I need to do. I already used her current address where she is living for the I-130 petition. I'm hoping all they want with her address is just to send her mail through snail mail anyway but if they catch this difference it worries me they might mistakenly think fraud it something.

What is a DHL fee? Is it a courier fee? oh and congrats

I have some questions about name change because my wife wants to change after she gets here also.
1. How exactly does one go about doing it?
2. Will her passport from her native country become invalid once her name changes?
3. I want to get her on my insurance ASAP when she gets here, will a name change after I do this complicate it?
-
well, whilst yer waiting -
could you flesh out yer profile and timeline here at VJ?
TIA !
I will try it when I get a chance. I don't have a computer and I do everything on my iPhone so I will have to see if it's even possible. When I need to print anything I do it at work. The main I'm focused on is getting the visa. Where do I go to make a profile and timeline? I'm sure my ignorance on wasting a couple of weeks thinking they would be sending a packet helped someone else move along a bit quicker.
-
Oh all has been paid. (for awhile now) The cover sheet my wife needs has been emailed to her and she said she printed it. She is just waiting on police clearance then she will have everything she needs and will send it all to the NVC ASAP via courier. I told her to also go over with me everything she is sending before she sends it. I want to avoid an RFE if at all possible.
-
Well just talked to them again. I got pretty much the same answer. I guess I'll be waiting 20 business days to hear from them and I'm going to officially stop worrying about this cover sheet. I hate doing anything wrong or not the exact way they want it though.

Is this a USA office? I'm not sure why I need to call. If the PCC she has already gotten and sent to NVC is good for the entire country everything should be ok right?
