  1. My husband recently got his medical done and his results were sent directly to the consulate. We called a couple of days before to make sure it arrived. I think they are doing it this way. If they have an issue with anything they will contact the person. I honestly feel like this is a better concept :)

yes they do my husband was told on Monday that they send them directly there no need to go back

  2. August 19 is a sunday. I taught it was ok for them to do it a month ahead of time. I told my husband to get it done on 8/17 :)

August 16 is a holiday in DR I believe everything is closed from that Thursday the 16th till Monday the 20th make sure to call and find out if they are open

  3. take interview letter to banco popular its $15 dollars nd the day of the interview is only the domex when you are approved $12.50 if you want it delieverd or $9.50 if you are picking it up.. and for the medical you can get the fees on their website

  4. 1-4 weeks to be notified of date? Or 1-4 weeks for actual date? If its to be notified of date, how long for the actual date? I'm calling today to see if they processes the packet they received last Wed thus completing our case at NVC. Hope its an actual interview date in the next few weeks for all of us but I think it's more likely just the notification of a later date! LOL

Like Steph said 1-4 weeks just to know the date then 3-8 weeks for the interview date

  5. i completed my case on june 29th and called the national visa center and they told me that they scheduled all appoinments for santo domingo embassy on the second tuesday of every month, my husband and stepdaughter did not get scheluded for august so they told me to call the second tuesday of august very frustrated i thought my husband would had a appointment for august for sure since it was completed on june 29, i guess just have to wait and see if he will get it for september.

That is the wrong information they don't just schedule on every second tuesday of the month as you can tell with my interview date I was scheduled on the 4th friday of the month. They schedule all through out the month however they only start scheduling when the DR embassy lets them know how many spots they have open for the next month. You should call everyday to see if its scheduled

  6. Thanks guys! I had her speak to my ain't who is a judge and as per my aunt no harm will be done as long as he pays, also my aunt told her that the only way it will a effect the visa process is if they put what's called an "impedimento de salidas" which means "exit restriction" that's when it will effect the process.

They only do that if he doesnt pay child support but he should be keeping proof of everything he gives her because they can do that before and after he starts the process and the only way they will lift that is if he shows proof that he does provide for the kids

  7. Good Afternoon all,

Little bit of background, A friend of mines is in the process of also petitioning her fiance, she is a bit hesitant in petitioning him because she has just found out that the mother of this child decide to file child support on him once she found out he was involved with a foreigner who travels (my friend a usc)she has the I-129F I believe is the form for fiance visa, and the money order ready to mail it out.

    questions

will this become an issue where her fiance could get denied for a visa?

Can she petition for his two kids?

Can this situation be consider a "crime" in the eyes of immigration?

If someone can please help me answer her question I will appreciated!

    p.s.

All I was able to answer as for as "crimes" that immigration may look at is drug trafficking, killing, etc... I think those could be crimes for a denial of a visa, please correct me if I'm wrong.

    Thanks in advance!

    1. If he pays child support its not an issue

    2. Why would she petition for his 2 kids?? The mother has to give her permission in order for them to come to the USA unless he has sole custody which is not the case.

3 Why would this be a crime ??

  8. lol she meant me..es que tu y yo somos Sanchez! heheeh..I need to change it to my real last name which is Perez to avoid the confusion

She didn't realize that I put Ms. Sanchez and not Mrs. Sanchez

Why the :( ?? you didn't want to do the CR1?

    - $140 + $15. (for him) for application fee

    - $140. (for each kid) for interview

    - $280. (for him) for fisical

    - $100. (for each kid) for fisical

    - $1080. (for him) for AOS

    - $685. (for each kid)for AOS

AM I RIGHT??? PLZ HELP, NEED TO BE PREPARE!!

Check the site for the medical because it depends on the ages and the time of the year

  10. According to the reviews on here the interview in DR takes 2-4 months after the embassy receives the paperwork, but the NVC will never be able to give you a date.

Actually NVC and the DOS does know the date.. NVC schedules CR1 I got my date from DOS and then they told me to call NVC because I time was not put in the system so I called back that same day and got both time and date from NVC. NVC does not schedule K1 they do that in DR. For the CR1 the DR embassy sends what they have avaliable then thats when NVC starts scheduling.

  11. Good Morning..

I don't believe that there will be a problem with him leaving his children behind many people do it.. What you can do is a follow to join which is when you put his children's names like they intend to travel into the USA what this does it gives you guys a year in which you could bring the children. It saves you the first few steps of this process since they are already named on his paperwork.

Look into follow to join .. I believe thats your best option you can put all 3 children.

    Good Day

  12. Hey Marie, dr is playing games lol I told in<3 that I swore that they scheduled everyone they thought was going to get denied together lol but that makes sense. I just always thought that it would go in order but then again, we are speaking about Santo Domingo lol

   Yes you did tell me that which I thought was very funny Girl how u think I feel everyone has gotten their interview date but me :crying: :crying: :crying: But I know God knows what he is doing .. Teaching ME Patience

  13. No no, at the cita we only have to pay the banco popular fee which is $15 and domex $12.50 if approved. Not sure where does other fees came from, maybe for K-1.

    CR-1 fees are:

    I-130 - $420

    AOS - $88

IV - either $304 or $230 (they changed it recently so I am not totally positive)

    Medical - $350

Police cert - I forgot how much this but not more than couple hundred pesos

    Banco popular fee - $15

    Domex - $12.50

DR Passport - I forgot also, but a couple thousand pesos

These are the ones I can remember off the top of my head. This does not include fees to get BC and MC legalized. To retrieve a BC or MC it's 300 pesos plus another 300 pesos to get each legalized.

    I hope this helps. :star:

    Medical - $350 before May 1 after May 1 $290

    Police cert - $330 pesos .

    DR Passport- $1850 pesos regular

    IV- $230
