  1. Congrats Eveline!!!! What a relief huh? He is beautiful and at 8lbs 14oz, that's a healthy baby boy!! Well done, you must be so proud! Hope you are feeling a little better by now, take your time and get your strength back!

Kristi: I know what you mean about the ankles...mine were permanently swollen for about 4 months too. Now I keep staring at them they look so skinny by comparison.......It's about the only part of me that's skinny now, LOL! My doc says I can start exercising like walking and non strenuous stuff, so I'm all out of excuses now! Time to get out and about! Keep us updated on your progress, we should have news from you pretty soon, I'm guessing!

  2. the glucose test was ok for me..

i had the orange drink and it was really yummy.. lol

I HAVE to comment on your pics. Your belly is too cute!

Hey Nizzy, how does your belly look now? LOL, mine is like a deflated balloon! Looking at it I can't imagine it will ever get back to normal again. After giving birth I discovered all these stretch marks under my bellybutton I couldn't see looking down!!! I gained 42 lbs (I know!!) but have dropped 26 already. Apparently there was quite a bit of fluid there! Can't wait to be able to exercise. I have a docs appointment tomorrow so I will clear it with him. Still anxious about the extensive repair work down there, if you know what I mean!

  3. Good luck Kristi, sounds like you don't have too much longer to go. Hope it all goes smoothly for you! I have no doubt it will be just fine. You've had a really healthy pregnancy up to now! I keep imagining trying to manage twins....I'm run ragged after just one, LOL! Make sure to get plenty of rest in!

  4. Congrats Pedroh....get ready for your life to be turned upside down right about.............now! In a good way of course. Enjoy the journey and get plenty of sleep!!!

  5. Marilyn: It may be a little awkward for you but remember it's going to be awkward for her too. She's sure to feel bad for you. Maybe it is one of those times where you will have to be gracious as tough as it may be. It is only understandable that it will take you longer than this to get over Noah and that it's completely normal for you to have these feelings. Just think of the day that comes when you can share your good news of a new baby on the way! It'll come to you in time......try to focus on that.

Eveline: I'm so excited for you. I can remember how I felt the evening I went in to be induced, I was so nervous I thought I would be sick. Get ready for a rollercoaster ride.......It's not really that bad at all!! Best of luck to you!

Savanphil: Isn't it the best feeling in the world? It gets better later on when you will start to count the days til your next appointment so you can hear the heartbeat every time!

  6. IrishEyes: Adorable! And yes, they DO look like twins! Meanwhile, people can't decide who our son looks like more. Some say he looks like me and some say he looks like my hubby.

Your little guy is a cutie too! I love his skin tone....hopefully my little one gets her Daddys coloring and not the pasty Irish white from her Momma! LOL! Isn't it funny how they can look like both of you at the same time. I see her Daddy in her and he sees me!

  7. Ok, that worked...LOL....here's one of my faves, taken at the hospital the day after she was born. Sleeping with her Daddy after a tiring day the day before........Talk about twins?!?

  8. Eveline, I'm so sorry you're still hanging around. I can imagine how frustrating it must be. Hopefully it won't be too much longer.

Congrats to all the new expectant parents....how exciting. It seems these babies are coming in waves.

I'm going to try and post a photo of my little girl taken this morning. I'm not sure if I can do it right but here goes............

  9. First of all, congrats Nizzy.....I'm glad your little prince arrived safely.

Our little girl Rachel Erin arrived on Thursday evening at 4:51. We started inducing labor at 8:45 Wed evening, but it didn't get tough until my water broke at 3:30am. I gave in and got the epidural after hours of strong contractions all on top of each other and thank God I did!!! She was born by forceps after turning sideways. I didn't feel a thing LOL! We had some trouble with the placenta as it had attached itself to some scar tissue I had after a D&C from a few years ago. My doc had to go in and get it to avoid a surgery and believe me, epidural or no, I felt that. I had some extensive repair work done so needless to say I'm really sore at the moment.

We came home today and Rachel is doing great. She's an angel. She weighed in at a petite 6lb 5oz and measured in at 20.25in. We are both head over heels and I'll post photos as soon as I can!

Eveline, I hope you go soon, if you hadn't already....Don't worry about the birth, it's natural you'll be nervous but it's really not too bad and sooo worth the effort! Go with your body, it'll let you know what to do!

  10. Thanks Eveline...I go in this evening to get everything started. I'm not sure if they will start tonight or the morning. At the moment I am wavering between calm confidence and sheer panic. I guess I'll just have to go and get through it all as best I can. Can't wait to meet our little girl, I'll just keep the end result in mind!

I'll be back on as soon as I can to update. Good luck to you and Nizzy too! I hope it happens for you both very soon. (F)

  11. Enjoy the ride Ana... ;) (Pun intended)

Hope it happens quickly for you....just keep trying. Also a good time to start taking Folic Acid too! If it does happen quickly then you have a headstart on a healthy baby!! Good luck! Fingers crossed!

  12. I'm so sorry Laura.....It's a tough thing to go through. Take some time out and spoil yourselves for a while. Make it an extra special Valentines day! (F)

I had another check up this morning and still nothing's moving! We are going ahead anyway and I'm going to be induced Thursday morning. I am going in to hospital Wed night to start the procedure to soften the cervix. I keep getting butterflies when I think about it so I guess I'll spend the next few days psyching myself up for it. Fingers crossed it all goes as planned!

Don't worry Eveline, you'll get there soon. It may all go at once for you instead of over a few weeks. I wish there was an easier way to predict all this, but I guess it's natures way! Hang in there!

  13. Good for you Nizzy....I hope something has started moving by then and also that your husband can maybe make it to be there for the birth!! Good luck and don't forget to come back with all the gory details!!!

Eveline, I'm sure everything will be ok. That's why they do these tests, so there are no surprises at the birth. Any new developments yet? I'm still having those contractions like period pain, travelling down into my thighs now! Why do I feel like things are happening when my doc tells me they're not? Oh well, I guess he knows what he's talking about after all, he's about 73! (ok, maybe a slight exaggeration)LOL!

Keltic....It's great to have an 'insider' in the thread with us....you always have great information! Thanks..... (F)
