Hello, I live in Chicago and have an India passport that will expire April 2026. I am getting my passport re-issued through Tatkal services. When I go to https://mportal.passportindia.gov.in website and completed all details and printed their application form. On that form I see instructions "Paste your unsigned recent color photo 35 X 45 MM". The space on that form is also 35 x 45mm. I was not able to find anyone (Walgreens or UPS) who takes photos of this 35 x 45mm size in USA. If I look at Checklist from VFS, it says to paste regular 2inch X 2inch photo on Government application form (this conflicts with instructions from previous website). SO I am very confused! Anyone had a similar experience recently trying to re-issue new passport? Anything you could do to guide me would be much appreciated.

I submitted form I 90 and received an email with the document that reads “This notice, together with your Form I-551, Permanent Resident Card (also known as the Green Card), provides evidence of your lawful permanent resident status for 24 months from the expiration date on the front of your Permanent Resident Card.” Do you think I’m good to go?

Hello, My 10 year green card expires on May 20 2024. I have planned to travel to Canada on June 24, 2024. I know current processing time for green card renewal is 6+ months. What are my options at this point? If I apply for renewal and get form I797, does that allow me to travel? How long does the 797 take after applying for renewal?
