    Got my temporary driving permit today valid until the expiration date of my I-94. The lady told me to come back and renew it when I get either GC or EAD. Although, my driving (learner) permit looks exactly the same as my wife's driving license. The guy who took my photo said something about verification and went in the other room. Did they make a mistake there? Do I still have to take the road test?

      On another subject, do you have all your diplomas and transcripts with you? I am totally into that right now, and it's an even bigger mess than doing immigration stuff... I need to request the original from my Uni in France, have them come here, then have them translated and transcripted in US equivalent!

      Yes I have all my degrees, original copy from the uni. My degrees are in English, so I don't need to translate it. I have an engineering degree MSE, it's a regular 120 ETCS degree, I am pretty sure I don't need to have it transcripted. Have you started to look for a job yet?

      I have, and just discovered that I need to have everything transcripted into US equivalent by a specific organization, if I want to apply for government jobs. And it costs a leg...
