Congrats broma
We have SS all taken care of and we are just waiting for Mariya's passport and certificate to come . They have cashed the check so we think it will come this week.
I am kind of lost not looking for something to come in the mail everyday. :jest:

Just got home from Oakland. 951 new citizens from 94 countries today. It was easy we parked right across the street from the Paramount Theater and waited until they opened the doors. It was raining so we stayed dry. It stormed all the way to Oakland. Wind was blowing 50 mph so the ride was fun. Mariya is already calling her family in Cambodia.
good luck and a speedy finish to those who are still waiting.
God Bless
Sam and Mariya

We are leaving early tomorrow and will be back late Tues. Will let you know how it went then. I am sure that rilian will have you all updated before we leave Oakland.
We are looking forward to getting this last step behind us. Maybe we will have a USCIS paper burning party when we get home.

We got a room at the Hampton Inn right on San Francisco Bay in Oakland for the 4th of May. Too long of drive for just one day (400 miles). Mariya works for Hampton Inns so we got the room for $31. Our ceremony is at 9:15 on the fifth of May in the Paramount Theater.
Congrats to everyone on their oath dates. Just think we will be all done with USCIS. What will we do to fill the void. PARTY?
-
I can't figure out the format so just add my oath date. Cinco De Mayo

If you have your 2008 tax returns take them. They asked for ours. We had not filed when we sent the application.
Also good to have your spouse with you. They came out and talked to me and took copies of my ID.
Good luck to you Broma25. It will be a piece of cake.

Congrats Stella08: that means that rilian and I are not far behind you. I have a feeling that we will get our letter tomorrow.
Seven interviews, boy is this thread going to be busy next week. Good luck to all who have their interviews next week.

Stella08
I think they have a quota on how many they can get in the Paramount Theater in Oakland

rilian
Thanks for that info. We have not received anything yet.
Do you know a good place to park and maybe ride bart to the Paramount. We are coming in from the north. We will have to get a motel and stay the night before the ceremony. My wife works for Hampton Inns and we are trying to get her boss to get us a room at the Hampton by the Oakland airport. He can get it for $29 with employee discount.
Maybe the letter will come today. Usually the letter seems to come on Saturday.

Mariya passed her interview today with no problem. We were in at 9:07 and out at 10:35 am Ours was about the same as rilian described, except for one thing the IO came out to the waiting room and asked me for my ID. She took it and made a copy then came out and said we passed. I have never heard of them taking the husbands ID to copy. Now the only thing left is another 8 hour trip to Oakland for the oath ceremony.
We are very happy and very tired. It was a long two days.
-
Congrats Stella. Good on you. Now we need to hear from Maimai tomorrow.
We are going to SF thur morning and spending the night in SF. It is too far to drive and make it in time for the interview. Our interview is 9:30 Friday morning.
-
Only two to go and we will have everyone's interview date. This week is a big week. Four interviews this week.
Stella08 I believe you are next. Tomorrow is your big day
Good luck to you I know you will have no trouble at all.

My wife has her interview Friday March 20th in SF. Just wondering if they have oath ceremony the same day. I heard they have some of the oath ceremonies in Oakland.
We are traveling 400 miles to get there and have to spend the night. Just don't want to make that trip twice. We lose two days work and it costs us around $300 to make the trip.
Thanks for any help you can give us.

CONGRATS TO ALL WHO RECEIVED THEIR LETTERS TODAY.
Just think it won't be long and we will all be worrying about our interviews, then impatiently waiting for our oath letters. Boy this is fun. I will be doing the dance tonight.
-
I too am waiting for some good news. broma25 when does the mail come? I have my dancing shoes on just in case.
-
Every nite I do the interview dance for broma25 and I don't seem to be helping Sorry broma. Oh well maybe dancing with the stars will call with an opening.
I gave my wife the test for the interview and she aced it. I think she is ready.

being an undeducated hunter myself I would love to see the wolf back in New York City or in Washington DC after all didn't they have wolves before them damn politicians came. Personally the only good wolf is a dead one with my bullet in it.
Now that should stir up the bleeding heart liberals.
-
You people who do not live in wolf country are so ignorant. You do not have a clue what is going on.
Here is a video that you all will enjoy.

broma25
what time is the dance I will join you to try to bring the interview gods to your mailbox
-
nothing about Chrisptopher Columbus in our instruction book either
-
no touches on mine since Dec 18. We will be all done before they ever update us.
rillian: Do you think they will do the oath the same day as the interview. We do not want to make that trip again. It is a two day trip for us. Did you find a place to park. There are two parking garages within two blocks.
768 Sansome St/Calif parking
475 Sansome st.
We made hotel reservations for the 19th. It is easier than trying to drive into SF during rush hours. Our appointment is 9:30 AM
