Me too. I just took my letter from Montreal with my case# on it.
Also, how do you know that the tests are incorrect? Aren't they put in a brown envelope for you?
I'd make sure she went to a doctor on their sheet, there are only a few per area. That way you can be certain, if they are endorsed by the Consulate, they will have the correct procedures.

Great list. My interview is Wednesday next week. I"m not sure if you are a K1er but I never got a DS230 Part II.
I hope I don't need one. Anyone have any thoughts on this? My package didn't mention a DS230 Part II.
Good luck and please remember to piost your review!!!!

It's regular mail. I live outside of Toronto. Mine was dated the 22nd of December and I didn't get it till the 27th.
It'll probably be there any day. But, I'm sure they could always send out another packet.

Thanks for the well wishes. I have been quiet, yes, preparing my wedding. It's all quite stressful.
As for the interview, today I was speaking to a friend who got a work visa a while back and she was denied 3 times because they said they couldn't see the tops of her EARS!!! I almost laughed at her but then I realized I too could come across something as unusual as this. Ihave pictures, but my ears are close to my head and barely visible...panic mode is definitely setting in.. I think I'll get an extra set of photos this weekend just to be sure.
I know it will be fine, I'm just nervous. Let's hope they are having a good morning when they interview me!!

On my interview letter it stated I had to have another letter of intent stating my fiance is still free and willing to marry. I was under the impression everyone had to have this.
This letter has to be signed and dated by him, and I too have to have one.
It's for the interview itself, when you go you take it with you.
Check the first page of the interview letter...mine was stated right on it. Maybe it's different in each country.
Hope that helps!

Hey there everyone, I recall quite a few people having end of January Interviews at least in Montreal, and I was hoping you could post some of your experience.
Mine is Feb 8th and I'm just feeling those jitters. I was hoping to read some really good reviews that are current to calm my nerves.. haha.
Looks like February is a busy month too. I know I'll be sure to write my review.
Anyone had one lately? How'd it go? Anything to share?

Hey there, the site one is a little misleading.
When you file your petition I129F your letters of intent should have the address of the service centre you are sending it too.
When you get to the interview stage and you will need to both prepare new letters of intent, THAT'S when you put the address of the Consulate of your fiances country.
So, if you are filing to the Vermont Service Centre, that's the address both of you will put on the letter of intent.
Months down the road when you have your interview, you'll both put the address of the foreign Consulate abroad.
I hope this helps!! Good Luck!

I am just getting ready for my interview, and he's going to need to remember. What he can do is contact the ministry of labour and they should have his employer records somewhow.
As for where he has lived, I believe he only needs a police certificate for the places he has lived in for 6 months or longer. The packet from Montreal does state that it's needed for all towns, but he can call Montreal and ask them. The police certificate does show all of canada, but I believe there's another record that he'll need. Again, I'm not sure, so it's best to call the Consulate and check.
As for places he's lived, that is going to go hand in hand with the police certificates, so he should really try to remember. If he has Records of Employment from the places he has worked that will help him with residence timeline I'm sure. Most people know where they were living when they were working a certain job.
My advice is to start it and see how much you have. Find out how big the gaps are and then worry about them 1 at a time. You'll get it eventually.
How about a resume? That may help too to show past employers.
Just a thought. Good Luck!!

Some of those posts were very helpful. Are they still out there?? Is there any way to put the relevant ones back on this board?
The searching function doesn't always yield the bext results and you can spend an hour looking for one post...so, um...please bring back those old posts!!!
I'm taking this to the Montreal Interview
in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
Posted · Edited by canucker18
Hi everyone, I just wanted to post what I am taking to my interview for my K1 visa in Montreal on Wednesday.
If I am missing anything, please let me know.
Letter from embassy
NOA-2 and NOA1
NVC Letter
New fiancé(e) letter of intent (from both of us)
Birth certificate
Police certificate
I-134 +supporting evidence (bank Statement, Employer Letter, copy of tax returns)
Two passport pictures
Passport
(2) DS-156 (fill, but do not sign)
DS-156K (fill, but do not sign)
Original I129F petition (including all original documents)
Payment in US dollars (bringing US CASH).
Pre-Paid Express envelope for VISA (I'm going back home that day)
Additional Proof od Reltaionship (letters sent to each other in their mailing envelopes, wedding invitation, receipt for wedding dress, hotel receipts, about 10 pictures of us spanning the last 3 years)
I know it's probably overkill but I think better safe than sorry right?
Since the DS230 Part II was not included in my packet from Montreal I'll just fill the one out there. I have looked at it and it's pretty straight forward.
Am I missing anything?? Other than a really big bag to take it all in??
Thanks all I can't wait to post on Wednesday!!!!!!
