Immigration is a priveledge not a right....They aren't stopping you from getting married ,they are only stopping you from entering the US till you meet their requirements.

Correction You will be interviewed on the appointment day,things changed at the Nairobi consulate,they no longer carry on interviews for 2 days,you have to carry all your documents on that day.
