Also, on the appointment instructions, don't forget there are certain questions on the DS156 and DS157 that must be answered in both english and chinese. The K1 instructions tell which questions.

Yes, you will not get the P4 by mail, just the e-mail letter with links. So you need to print the e-mail letter. One thing I found, is use the DS157 form from the State Department Website, not on the Guangzhou Consulate link, because the Guangzhou one doesn't let you fill it out first, and then print, while the State Dept. DS157 link lets you fill it out and then print it - here is link to State Dept form DS157 http://www.state.gov/documents/organization/126741.pdf

Your first day, if your interview time is like ours, it's for 12:30. They will take her documents then, and tell her to return the next morning at 7:30 AM. So when you are outside waiting in line to get in for document intake on the 5th, I will be also outside waiting for Ying, my sweetie, to come out from the interview!
