I have run into this issue many times because my wife and I have moved several times. Government letters/packages will NOT get forwarded no matter what. The post office will not forward them. You need to make sure that USCIS has the correct address. My wife's temp green card was returned to USCIS because USCIS took 4 months to process a change of address so they never had the correct address. I received the notice of them accepting the change WITH the green card. Call to make sure that USCIS has the correct address. Do not trust that just because the post office has the new address they will forward it anything.
