  1. or maybe I'm just a douche and just don't care enough.

    Da Nang is not Saigon

Douche is a little harsh, but I'll take your word for it.

As far as Saigon, you can have that overcrowded, polluted cesspool.

  2. I disagree. I have heard little about this happening in this forum. I have heard more about other countries and not just in Asia though. My wife is a lot younger and definitely a lot better looking than I. I have expected her to say for a long time, "bye" and leave. I can't figure out why she is still with me. I have even told her that she can leave and have no problem on getting the citizenship if she want. Yet she stays. Been here now almost 3 years and I am still puzzled.unsure.gif

Btw there is pics of her and even a couple of me if anyone wants to click of photos

    Great Post !!

  3. my question now is me and the wife are having some tough times and doesnt seem like how it used to be....she is not living with me at the moment and she might being having a 10 year visa since we did have a wedding in vietnam. she is living wit her sister and she doesnt seem happy i have a feeling it was all fake and my feelings for played with and now that shes over here she doesnt give a rats #### about me. is there anyway i could send her back so to say if we dont get situated? this is just a question is there anything i can do. i have this affects my next marriage alot. if i do

I don't understand? According to your post last week she didn't arrive untill March 15, three days ago???

Are you saying that the problems started when she was still in VIet Nam, yet you brought here here anyways?

    or

That everything was good untill three days ago?? Heck, if that's the case perhaps she is just having trouble adjusting to the US. It's very traumatic to leave everything and everyone behind. Perhaps give this a few days and let things calm down.

  4. One can't really bait a permanently banned former member can they?

The what was the justification for all of my deleted comments to Dau Que? I was doing the same thing?

  5. An NOA2 is no proof of anything but an approved petition. The embassy has no case no file no papers nothing. They cannot do any interviews without your papers/medical/petition and case files.

What that person said is not true. You cant go directly to interview when they have none of your papers or case files.

We might as well give up Inky, they've made up their mind and not going to listen to us.

  6. I have spent many Hours searching US Government sites before filling out I-129F Package. After I send my package of, I found VisaJourney. I still have several questions.

1; In what Language should the Forms for my Fiancée be filled out. Spanish or English?

2; If she fills out the Forms in Spanish, the Computer will use some foreign characters. In most of the Form Instructions, it says not to use foreign character's when filling out these Forms.

3; I am filling out the following forms for her, DS-156, DS-156K, DS-230

Everything has to be in English. I believe there is one line on the DS-230 where the person can list their name using "native characters".

  7. LOl, Not working for the flag carrier actually!

Ok Ok , can you get me any UA or AA codeshare flight upgrades?? C'mon now, you said 'flight attendant', so I know your not working cargo flights!

Yes, correct, the attorney will make every small bump seem like the Apocalypse if not handled by a "legal professional". However, you seem like a savvy person that can sort the nonsense from the real flags. Perhaps there are overlapping date between the 'start' of the relationship and the 'end' of the divorce process (easily mitigated). Perhaps there are security concerns with your former employment (not likely- F/A's are highly vetted). Perhaps something that you don't want to mention on the website? Perhaps nothing? Perhaps something you would never suspect?

Just saying, doesn't hurt and it's usually free. I can PM the contact info attorney I consulted if you would like (he can be contacted via e-mail).

  8. WOW someone wakes up in the wrong side of the bed. Chill dude. This is just a forum nothing toooo personal. ALL of us had their own opinion or decision so it's up to the person if they will follow the advice or not. Just saying!!! :bonk:

    Nothing personal at all! :innocent:

Did you just want us to tell you want you wanted to hear, or did you want the truth? Your friend is wrong and we are trying to help you from wasting time on your case.

Look at it this way. Suppose that the Manila consulate said OK after seeing the I-797 and scheduled your interview, and then your interview day comes and the file hasn't arrived yet. This is why they (DoS) can't take any action untill the file is at least in their system.

  9. LOl babysitting, that is certainly one way of describing it!

glad you think our case is straight forward! thanks

Again, it was straightforward from your description. It never hurts to at least do a free consult with an attorney, I did so with my case. I decided to proceed on my own, but the attorney helped identify a few red flags. I was able to self-mitigate the red flags with more evidence, but may have not done so if I had not been aware of them. Wouldn't hurt in your situation to do the same.

PS. Can you get me any BA J-Class upgrades?? :innocent:

  10. he said that NOA2 is the kinda proof for them to process it. oh well not sure exactly what he was saying but it work for his sister and it only take about 3months and the petition is done...i guess whatever works right lol

Ok, don't listen to us. Go ahead and show them a DHS I-797 with no DoS Tracking number or casefile. When they laugh you can explain that it worked for his sister.

  11. i'm not complaining i just one to know if anyone got aproved or something like that ... i know is too fast

I'm not quite sure I understand the question. Each RFE request is different. The question if it will be approved depends on the quality and completeness of the information you provided in answering their request. Just because they have not answered right away doesn't mean there is a problem, they just need time to get back to your petition and look at your newly sent evidence. They don't immediately re-open your file when your information is received, it has to wait it's turn.

  12. Hi, I was wondering if I can have any trouble if I'm flying last days of April and my visa expires on May 2nd ?? We have been through rough times these past months, but now we're planning to go by April, will I find any kind of hassle in immigration for that?? I'm worried

Also I wanted to take 10K with me, but I was wondering if I can do the same with my 4yr old american son? Can he carry some cash too??? Or he's not allowed for his age?? I don't wanna be in any trouble, so I'm also worried about that

Try posting in your regional forum. The information you are requesting has to do with the import customs laws of Peru, not the US. Hopefully someone in your regional forum can answer.

  13. Is true that as soon as you received the NOA2 approval you could just bring that approval to the embassy to use it for the interview instead of waiting for them to send it to the embassy?? A friend of mine told me this as soon as his sister got the approval her sister when to her fiancé country and they when both in the embassy and use that NOA2 for the interview. Is that possible? I mean if she did it just means it is possible lol usually it take about 2 months before the embassy received the approval why wait if ever right?

THere is no such thing, the term NOA2 only exists on this website.

If your talking about the USCIS approval of the Petition I would say no. The processing of the petition has not been accomplished at the Dept of State, and has no DoS tracking number that could be used.

  14. I see. I lived there for just over a year working as a flight attendant for their national carrier gulf air. Several months?! I think my partner and I going to speak with a lawyer to figure out best way. I can fairly easily get the criminal record check by going to a ministry in Bahrain - perhaps my employment with the British airline I'm working for now may aid my success (they must surely be aware of the checks we go through for uk airside passes?) - so nick do you recommend a lawyer? Many thanks both of you!

I really don't think you will need a lawyer. You case is very straightforward, and you will still need to gather all this info (including the Police Certs) regardless if a lawyer is used. The UK is not a high fraud country, so thats a plus too. As long as you have a certified copy of the divorce decree (or equivalent), and can get the other paperwork you should be ok. There are some great guides on this website that can aid in the process. It's bit overwhelming at first, but no more so than babysitting a few hundred passengers locked inside a metal tube. Being a flight attendant you should be very detail oriented and probably have more experience with the immigration bureaucracy than most attorneys! I dont think you will have a problem. Perhaps just consult with an attorney to get a feel for the situation.

  15. Piling on a third response.... Nope, gotta wait untill it's complete!

Be prepared to explain to the Consulate Officer the details of when you met, especially since the relatioship started while you were still technically married. That DOESN'T mean you will have a problem, but be prepared for this topic to surface.

  16. hi everybody,

Actually I am 20 years old and my fiancee is 37, what are our chances of an approval in Casablanca?

Do we need an attorney for our process or not?

    Thank you

It depends on several factors, but the most importnant factor is the culltural norms of the country of your fiancee. I would ask the mods to move this to your country specific forum. All your going to get in this forum is wildy inaccurate information that may not apply to your situation. You age difference is not that great compared to thousands of others that have been approved.

  17. Our lawyer is stupid, he should revise our sentence of divorce before sending, it was something basic.

I agree, he should have caught this obvious flag that killed the petition. I would re-file and make the lawyer pay the $340 fee!

Do you have the message that USCIS sent the second time? Did they actually deny the petition? There is no such term as a NOA2, it only exists on VJ to track the second notification.
