I wonder if that means I should have a case number on Monday as well. We have the same NOA2 date.
I hope so! Sugarz' petition was sent by USCIS on the 11th and she is before us so it does dishearten me a little.

 Just started thinking...wonder if he's married?! Can you imagine?
I can imagine him telling his wife in bed that she has to wait 15 to 20 business days
-
...was Riley nice to you at least? She's the one that made me cry...
Oh she was very nice. Well I guess my nice meter is skewed after talking to Frank last time. It was nice talking to a human.
-
So I called USCIS and had this terrible person who was very unhelpful, I tried to get to a supervisor to find out when it was shipped and was told to wait 90 days.
Called NVC again, Riley told me that today is day 15 so wait till Monday and it should have a case number, if it doesn't we will be able to investigate further and let you know how to proceed.

I pm u what I was told. But from being on here I was informed that they send out in batches, I guess they had to have a big enuff batch before they sent them out.
I am sure the way CSC has been approving cases lately it would have been a big enough batch. What I hate about this whole process is that there is no set way things are doen. Some cases can be faster and some slower for totally arbitrary reasons!

After emailing NVC yesterday as i was instructed they emailed me back today saying that they dont have my case and they are going to contact USCIS (but i already know USCIS didnt sent it till 4/11/12, found out after i emailed nvc). Glad to know they took the time to resond tho. I can deal with the wait knowing whats going on. it's harder to deal with the wait when no one has an answer for you.
I tried to get hold of someone at USCIS to find out when mine was sent but after 30 minutes hold I gave up. It really takes that long to send it? NVC told me they send it the same day they mail the approval notice.

Please give me case number!!!
-
Well still no case number. I called today and Frank said that it could take 5 to 7 weeks for us to have any record of it.
Today marks 15 business days, still no number. Yesterday I tried calling USCIS and they transfered me to some supervisor but I was on hold for 30 minutes before I decided to call it quits.
So Frustrated!

My sister forwarded this little tid bit of info for me. Some may find it interesting!
As mandated by the Department of State (DOS) and effective as of August 1, 2003,
Applicants that were born on the “List of 26” countries (a classified list of predominantly Muslim countries, and/or nationals of Cuba, Syria, Sudan, Iran, and North Korea, and applicants who were subject to National Security Entry/Exit Registration (NSEERS), if applying in Canada, they should be prepared to wait while routine security checks are pending. Also, remind these applicants that they
must have complied with special registration and departure registration requirements.
Oh thanks, at least there is something concrete to look at instead of just rumors and hearsay going around. Thanks!
Congrats to Shell!
I called NVC again today and still no case nor case number, May told me to call back next week. I am going to call this afternoon.

I just called NVC got Donna, not very helpful. No record of the case as of yet. She asked me to read the first paragraph of the notice which I don't have in front of me!

Not Canadian but women
The truth has been spoken

Mee too buddy.
1st operator this am said there will be a big batch being scanned in tonight so try back in the morning.
2nd operator (2mins ago) said give it two more days and call back friday, cases are scanned in during the course of the day....
maybe Friday....
but im still calling between 9-10 tonight.
Oh that is good news. How did you manage to find that out about big batch being scanned tonight? I am optimistic about tomorrow.

AP is mandatory in Canada if the Canadian spouse, or their parents were not born in Canada. (especially if they are from the Middle East)
AP can last from a month to three months from what I've seen here.
Is this official somewhere or speculation on someone's part?

Do you know how many pages I have to read every morning to get to the current post? It takes quite a lot of time, but it sure is entertaining!
-
Booooo...call again tonight!
I am thinking of calling again everynight before going to sleep but then in the morning when I call again there would not have been any changes and I would have to wait till the afternoon to call and I am always impatient in the mornings. *First world problems*

There are chances that your got something before the week ends
I hope your crystal ball is one of those that you can calibrate yourself by moving it in a figure-8 pattern and therefore it always gives accurate results and doesn't require tedious and expensive recallibration process that some of the other have to do on this forum!

My NOA2 is March 23rd and I have been calling everyday. They keep telling me 15 business days. I am keenly following all your progress.
-
So I called again today and still nothing
-
Oh wow lots of interviews assigned today. Congratulations to all!
-
So I called NVC and spoke to Olivia. She said there is still no sign of my case at the NVC. Told me to call back by next Tuesday or Wednesday instead of the usual 15 business days. Does that mean there are some delays at the NVC longer than their stated times or was she just telling me to stop harrassing them and leave them alone for a while?
My 2011 Tax transcript arrived so I guess I need to add that to my package and remove the tax return and W2 and all that.
Saylin when do you think I will get an interview date for? I am planning a trip for July 7th till 14th. I would like to be there for the interview also and don't know when the interview would be in relation to those dates. If it is a week on either side that is fine I can make two trips but I would hate to have the interview on July 5th or July 17th for instance. I wanted to buy tickets for my planned trip but if I wait till the interview date it will be too expensive. What do you all say?
-
I am probably wrong, but something does not sound right here. It is one thing for them to not have it entered in the system (no case#) but for them to not have received the case is a little strange. I would speak to a supervisor if possible.
They keep saying wait 15 business days. That will be this friday.
-
I am not going to read all those previous pages.
I called again today Got Madea or someone with a similar name to answer she was quite nice. But still no record of NVC receiving the case yet.

Good Soon, you'll be able to start doing stuff. Next week

I thought I would be done waiting once I got my NOA2. It has been 3 weeks since and still nothing has happened. It hasn't even arrived at NVC yet. So don't be disheartened by the wait and probably by the time you get to NVC things will be running quicker again there and you don't have to go through the waits people are experiencing waiting for new fees to come in to effect, changes in the invoicing system and all that and you should have a quicker time. So stay positive.
