Are there people who are still waiting for an update/status change since biographic notice? I'm eager to move forward to card production. It's been 7 months since we submitted for AOS.

Thanks for updating my entry!

All went well in Boston on Wednesday - except I forgot to submit my 2x2 photo with a signature. After they handed out the certificates to 375+ people, a few of use were called up to sign the photo on our certificate. The spelling on my name was correct so i then left. The entire process took about 2.5 hours from start to finish.

Today I went to the Social Security Administration to update my citizenship status and I also applied for a US passport. The guy at the post office made me a copy of the certificate so that I have proof of my status until the original is sent back to me in the mail.

Good luck to everyone else! It is such a relief to finally be done with this process. Cheers!

Hello everyone. I was wondering how long it took for your to receive your interview date letter after seeing the following message on the Case Update page:

On January 12, 2015, we scheduled an interview for your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization , Receipt Number NBC##. We will mail you an interview notice. Please follow any instructions in the notice.

I am currently a graduate student in Boston MA. However, I was raised in WA state and have a driver's license from that state and have not requested a MA driver's license.

I am scheduled to apply for US citizenship in October.

Since I will be applying with a Boston, MA address, do I have to also have a MA state drivers license as identification if I am here as a student? Could I just use my WA state ID and mention that my Boston address is only while I am in school? How do the 3 month residence policy apply to graduate students?

Walked into the Boston ASC today and requested to have my biometric done early due to a flight conflict next week. The woman said it was fine. I was in and out in 15-20 minutes - much faster than my previous experience at the Seattle ASC. Best of luck to everyone and happy holidays!

So I had my AOS interview today. Our appointment was at 12:45 (in San Francisco), we got there just after 12, so had to wait for a while for lunch break to be over/our appointment time to arrive.

After being sworn in, me and my wife had to show our passports and then the IO went over the entire I-485 form, having me verify/answer most of the questions, and then sign the form again stating that all of it is (still) true. Then he wanted to see what we had brought with us, so we showed him our wedding pictures (he kept the letter-sized sheet we had printed to put in our file), and our joint bank accounts and apartment lease (he didn't keep any of those). After some more chit-chatting about how we met etc, he told us that he needed to review the file a bit more, but that we would hear from them within 30-60 days (and he took the I94 from my passport). He didn't explicitly say that I was approved, but he did went on and tell how things happen when I'm approved (AP instantly becomes void, etc), and said that I should definitely get my greencard on time for the little party we have planned for this summer in the Netherlands, so all seemed quite positive.

I went Thursday to the SSA to get an updated SSN - one without the "not valid for employment" notice! This week I'm heading to the Mexican Consulate to get a new passport - I guess you can't renew it if it is older than 10 years, but that's fine with me. My wife and I are planning a trip to Europe and we are so excited that we can finally go together!
