I'm planning on using it as a mini vacation of sorts. There will be bottles of wine consumed in the evenings, by gum! I'm also bringing my laptop so I'm able to keep in touch with everyone while I'm there. I know Kevin's going to be biting his nails down to the quick on the 12th. I should be out of the interview by the time he wakes up, to be honest.

I'll be in Alabama if all goes well! The weather looks like it's going to be really nice (except for the date of my interview and medical, of course!)
-
I'll be leaving Nova Scotia on the sixth for my medical, and won't be back for a week due to timing...Lots of me sitting in a hotel room playing WoW and attempting to amuse my lonely, shut in self. >_>
Anyone else doing their Montreal tomfoolery in the next two weeks? How excited are you?
I'm basically over the moon!

It was completed in January, so my dates are alright. I definitely made sure of that (I am so very paranoid about this entire process). Expires in 2014.
As far as opening ASP files and that sort of thing, when I saved mine I saved it as a pdf file, so I could just open it right in my copy of adobe. I might have a different version of the program than you do, though I'm fairly certain I didn't pay for it, so I think it's just the good old fashioned downloadable version.
Yes, alright, I just refilled the form to find out how I saved it (Because I'm also a glutton for punishment)... I hit continue at the bottom of the page and a PDF file popped up with my completed DS156 ready to print...from this PDF page I simply it the little floppy disk and saved it in my documents as a PDF file.
I do have the most recent free adobe, but that shouldn't matter. It saves as an ASP file if you try to save it on the previous screen before you hit continue, just as you aren't supposed to print from that page you can't save it, either.
(Also, my computer geek is showing, I'll just stuff my bits, bobs and random lines of code into this bag over here...)

I'm not sure if it was mentioned, either, but D-156 is a form that is possible to save onto your computer (unlike some of the other forms. I have mine saved so that I could print out some more copies when the time came (original barcode and everything)...so if you're running into an issue like this you could simply save it to a thumb drive and print it out at a later date. Perhaps even off of a printer that can take thumb drives/memory cards.

That also happened to me when I was booking. "Ready to schedule" didn't give me any appointments, but "Permanently Immigrate" gave me an opening (which I instantly snatched up and will be going to in about two weeks!)

Hello again, folks, I apologize for the bevy of posts lately but I have a quick question: When doing your interview and submitting your paperwork for your K1 visa, do you need both the I- 134 and I - 864? I apologize if this has already been covered recently, but I haven't been able to find it.
Thanks in advance!

INTERVIEW BOOKED! March 12th at 8am. Eeeheee.

I probably would have been in the states already if the fiance type had been calling the right phone number back in October, but that is neither here nor there. :> So happpyyyy.

So...it's the TIME TO SCHEDULE INTERVIEWS. Yay! There are none available, but that's okay, because Montreal has been disturbingly fast. I sent PKT3 in on Wednesday of last week and they've already sent out PKT four.
Anyone else in the process of getting an interview? Hope they open some up for March.

I just went into my local health authority and asked for my vaccination records. It took them a little while to get them in (maybe a week), but the full record was there. If you're in NS it's Capital Health, I'm not sure what it is in other provinces.

This actually happened to me...but it wasn't Montreal that dropped the ball so much as my fiance.
He was calling the NVC instead of the DoS.
I just finished putting the packet together (it took all of one day)...Montreal has had our paperwork since October.
I could have strangled him.

We filed in the middle of June and had our NOA-2 at the beginning of October, haven't heard anything since, though.
On the website, after they mail your NOA-2 it switches to the "Post Decision Activity" bubble while they're sending your paperwork onto the next step.
Hope this helps!
Going to Montreal soon. Ohhh man.
