Dudette...don't feel bad that you requested an expedite, because if you didn't you'll feel horrible that you didn't try it. you're using all the tricks to get things goes faster.

I have a few questions on the NVC process (I have read all the guides).

Our petition was approved on april 5th.

1) How many days is it taking lately to be received at the NVC?

2) Are the NVC Case Number and Invoice Identification Number issued at the same time?

3) If the answer is no to question 2) how many days could I expect between both?

4) When is it most recommended to send the DS 3032's email? (After the NVC case number is issued or After the IIN is?)

-You really don't care about NVC receiving the case but when they'll assign a case number. and lately it'll take up to 20 days.

-Yes both are issued the same time, you just have to push a little bit when you're requesting the CASE# and IIN#

-I would suggest 24 hours after a NVC# is issued. but you can send it right the way.

But first check if SK embassy require an EP or not.

Just sent the DS-230 Pt. 1 and 2 today. I forgot to attach the Police Clearance, 2x2 photos, birth cert. and marriage cert. Do I have to wait for the checklist or can send it right away like tomorrow? But I dont think I have to provide them with the marriage and birth certificate again, I already sent it with my I-130 package to USCIS so im pretty sure NVC has it already when they received the documents from USCIS.

Ok, don't feel bad think like that happens a lot. Have you sent out the originals to USCIS? they requested copies only with i130, NVC requests originals.

1. You can request that you'll provide the original documents at interview date (not sure how's that will work tho).

2. I would've suggest that you send the missing papers with the bar coded sheet on the top. HOWEVER, these are original doc so I would suggest to wait for a checklist and send the missing documents. You're looking for Wed or Thur to get the checklist.

Visa Bulletin

Priority Dates are more for limited immigrant visas. CR-1 doesn't follow a priority date path.

Getting your interview depends on the individual consulate/embassy. They have to tell NVC the slots they have open.

If the consulate/embassy in Hati doesn't have open appointments until June, Hati CR-1 filers will be given those June slots first by expedite, priority date, then all others. If two people complete NVC on the same day, the person with the longest priority date gets an appointment before the other.

Example; Joe's case complete was March 23rd, Dave's March 22nd, and Jane's March 21st.

Joe had an expedite case, so he gets the first slot open. If someone cancelled in May, Joe gets that slot.

Dave and Jane have to wait for the next available schedule to be released. Hati sends NVC the schedule, and there are open appointments scattered through out June. So Dave gets the first one, Jane gets the next etc..

I'm sad for Jane....

Today is really a good day, i just received my choice of agent acceptance email. Just need the IV invoice now so that I can pay both. :dance:

Checking the payment portal i see that the information has disappear for the IV which means i might get my invoice by today. yaaay me.

Thank you, I just call them and they told me that the case has not been forwarded yet to the embassy because an appoitnement date has not been scheduled yet for me. She told me it would be better that I call april 15th or 16th so they will tell me if an interview date is set in may for me or not.

Email for the case complete??? Well I called this morning and they told me...At the same time I asked her about the interview date and she said they have to wait for the embassy info...

that's my point, you will not receive an email. and yes you'll here that a lot about the interview. However, you should start calling on Monday to see if an Interview has been assigned to your case. Chances are you will, as you got yours before the magic number of 8th of the month and also depending on how busy the embassy will be in the beneficiary country. good luck to all of us.

Well in my country its summers that are crowded with students ets attempting to get visas for their summer vacation.

Today you'll get your CC and you'll even have a chance for May interview!

If my wife is already given the visa, do I have to be with her at the point of entry? Do I need to get her in Philippines? Ive heard that I need to sign documents at the POE and there will be a briefing with the immigration officer since she is holding a CR1 visa. My plan is I would like to wait for her here in the states.

Never heard of such thing, who told you that? if this true, you'll be waiting for her at the POE and if the need you for ANYTHING an officer will come out and call your name...I've seen it happen with other situations, but NEVER for a CR1.

Just DoS to ask if we had an interview date yet. We don't but when I asked if he knew when it may be assigned he actually advised me to call everyday!!! I was not expecting that response.
