I have friend who give me some GHANA money, I am not sure if i can find place to exchange into to dollar.

So guys can you give me some input where or there is a chance we can exchange this money?

We will soon have a vacation together in Cebu that will be worth more than I can say. My Girl recognizes that Zamboanga is not safe for me so she insisted we meet at another location. I was willing to go to Zamboanga as I'm not intimidated by anything but she said she couldn't be happy knowing my family would be scared. I still say, I'll go to Zambo and walk proud down the streets. besides guns being pulled on me, I'm very capable of my security. I guess a big man that can fight is not impressive to her, she just wants nothing to go wrong. If no guns are pulled on me, I can defend and win. I've read how other white men have been to Zambo with no issues. What puzzles me is that some of her relatives live there and she whants me to meet them someday. So I'm ok with this. Sorry if it hurts religios boundries but she is worried Muslim will hurt me as this has been the past for white visitors. I am a caring Man and have no hate towrads anyone. So can I visit her family someday in Zambo or should I look for a place we can all be happy with no pressure of my race.

If this is your first visit there your in for a wake up call and the attitude you already show will bring you much trouble and hurt and more importantly put your girl in a bad light, harm or risk also

I'm like you I don't really worry too much in a foreign country. But I heard this last time I was in Philippines and next time I go I will confirm for sure. Even though you are not a citizen supposedly you can pay a fee to carry a firearm with you. A police officer said you can pay to buy a gun or register a gun you bring with from the US. For sure I would conceal if I had the choice to so next time I will do some digging to find out if it is as easy as the cop made it sound.

Do not even think about it! You are not allowed to own or carry a gun. Cop may have been setting you up or for a payoff. The way around it is to hire security. When you do dumb stuff like this do not expect the US Embassy to bail you out because they won't.

First congrats on getting this far. Second, you can buy a RT ticket or a one-way ticket depending on which is cheaper. The one entry into the US is that the K-1 visa allows for a single entry and then it is no longer valid. You then have 90 days to get married or the beneficiary must leave the US. Once married you will need to file for adjustment of status (AOS) and usually you also file for advance parole (AP) and employment authorization (EAD). Unitl your spouse has her GC or the AP, she cannot re-enter the US if she leaves. Finally, her point of entry (POE) is the first place she is processed as having enter the US. Once that happens she must remain in the US until the GC or EAD is obtained. As far as connecting flights, you need to make certain that as a PI citizen she does not require a transit visa to go thru any counties on route to the US. Guam and HI are the US so as long as she continues on to the mainland she will be fine.

Make as many stops all over US you want and travel US anytime. Exit to a territory can get shady in grey area i.e. for a honeymoon. Just stay in US state

If it is just NOA 1, it just means they accepted your paper work and payment and seems in order. Your in the wait for NOA 2 when its all processed and sent to NVC then to Manila. If your going crazy now wait and tell us how you feel after 5-6 months or more.

your adapter for phone is fine to use. look at the fine print on adapter should say 100-240 volts.I talked about this with a few traveleres in Narita airport. Cell phone no problem. What the best way to mail to the Philippines ? Fedex costs a lot and I want to send an entire I129F copy to my girlfriend . I have shipped with UMAC , but that was a box and was over 2 months . My girlfriend sent me forms with LBC and it was delivered by DHL to me witin 3 days ! Would DHL be a good way back to the Philippines ? I heard USPS takes quite a while also and is not so reliable . Any help would be great thanks..

Just get there early. We just did ours and was real early and they let us proceed. BRING YOUR MARRIAGE LICENSE IF THE MARRIED NAME DOES NOT MATCH YOUR PASSPORT OR ANY GOVERNMENT ID. We live close to office and had to go home to get it.

Before I brought my wife here, her family was also concerned about the wedding. The compromise we came up with is that we will have the Non-Church Wedding in the US for those here in America and the Church Wedding in Philippines sometime in the future for the rest of the family that would be unable to attend.

We had a cute Chapel Wedding in Las Vegas which gave our friends and family to have a reason to have minivacation of their own. With less than 30 people the overall cost about $1000 for Ceremony/Reception Dinner. The Wedding Chapel recorded the wedding an it was up for viewing after about 15 minutes after the ceremony.

The cost of throwing a Grand Wedding in PI will be a fraction of the cost of normal wedding here, so my wife and I decided to keep it simple here and spend the real money in PI. considering the US dollar is worth 4-5x as much in the PI a wedding that costs 10K over there would be equivalent to $50-60k here.

For us it was a no-brainer since we get to have 2 weddings 1 for friends and family in US with another for friends and family in PI. We get to go to Vegas and PI(both fun places with good food and many things to keep a couple busy). In the long run the savings in regards to time and money is quite substantial.

sticker must be received where seminar is taken. You can do seminar and return to get sticker once passport is returned. You may hear of an office in the terminal in Manila, but dont risk doing it last minute. It may be closed or someone not there or get the runaround something is missing

its hard as it is, if you need a co sponser wouldnt that be a huge red flag.. I cant understand how anybody could travel and support and then use a "co sponser"

you need the parental consent, not for you but her and this is done on local government level. My wife knows more about this getting certified with her mom and dad. To some on here giving advice from middle eastern countries its a whole another issue. Philippines will not accept co sponser. At your age without proof of stable income and employment I cant imagine the road your about to travel. Many have more experience in life, culture and world travel than I do. I have those travels in life and Navy. I find it hard to believe you found a "chat mate" and ready to do this. The paper work will drown you and unless you go there and spend more time with her and family, you are both in for a reality check. ............unbelievable

you will have to go to court house and get complete copies not dissolution of marriage and certified copies of birth. The clerk will put seal and signature on last page. Save yourself time in long run and get at least 3 to 4 certified copies of everything and when married 3 to 4 full and abstract of marriage license
