U'll not believe this,all correspondence from uscis to my attorney were returned back to uscis b/c uscis mistakenly typed in 1 # which made the delivery address non existent & as such all correspondence were returned.The devil is a liar.I'm so nervous,shaky,exhausted & tired.I can't even eat.I don't know if i've been approved-i seem not to have any letters to reference and no website updates for my case,my attorney tried to get info on my VAWA approval but they said they will mail back all the previous mail but so far all we got was a letter 4m NBC RFE for passports & Medical I-693.Why is my case in NBC instead of VSC?They sent out letters in Aug & Sept, to the wrong address.They sent out another one this oct for d I-693 & Passports to send the info in in 87days.I'll get this done next week.Can someone pls, tell me what stage i'm in & why is my form already in NBC.

Yeah Ladyg, i paid for the adjustment of status(I-485) which included the I-765(for EAD) & the Vawa was free.I'll call their office tomorrow to let them know i'll be stopping by to pick up the receipts.The only reason i used them was that they specialize in Vawa cases mostly and have good rep so far.

Lucymiss i've heard about 102 & 103 divorce, can't remember how to differentiate either one anymore,Google search should be ur friend on this one-it'll give u an idea.I think its based on the state u r currently residing in.Its a no fault uncontested divorce with or w/o kids,it depends on whether or not u have lived apart 4m ur spouse 4 @ least 6mnths or so, not quite sure but i think u must live continuosly apart for @ least 6mnths b/4 ur divorce will be granted.The divorce must be completed within 2yrs of service of original petition.I live in TX & it was just basic asking & answering of questions by lawyer who then served my ex,filing the petition, 60days to think about ur decision b/4 the final decree b/4 a judge.Goodluck with ur divorce

Yeah, inpeace, i paid for EAD,I-485 & the I-360 together.Since i sent in the RFE,my case status have not been updated.Its still showing on "so so date, we sent u RFE..."My attorney has told me that they have heard from them & that i should be expecting a biometrics appointment letter soon.I'll call them again this coming weekend to ask how long i have to wait cause i'm really tired of waiting.I have been accepted to 2Med schools but have to defer admission cos my head is kinda whack right now.I want to be settled & organized b4 proceeding to do anythg.

hey Lucymiss, i think ur divorce attorney can only represent u only in court & not both of u.All u need do is have them file the divorce and a copy/waiver will be sent to ur husband to sign & notarize in case of uncontested divorce.He doesn't have to be present in court unless he wants to & wants to contest.If he signs the waiver & agree to divorce u, them the judge will grant u a divorce with u & ur attorney in court & a certified copy should be requested & kept for future use.If u want to change ur name, u must also request it in that divorce letter unless u want to keep answering ur husband's name after the divorce.Make sure the attorney u r using is a divorce lawyer cause ur story looks like the attorney u r using have no divorce experience.Goodluck

I don't even know if they filed for the I-485 & I-360 together.I paid for both to be filed together.I also gave them a copy of the previous I-485 that i filed including all cards & documents that were involved.They assured me everything was filed but i don't know.After i got the RFE letter i followed d guideline from this website & registered on the USCIS website to check my status-the only thg that popped up after i typed in the reciept is the I-360 form.Even after they filed all the documents, they didn't even sent me any receipts so i can know if it was filed or not. When i check the USCIS website right now, its still showing RFE.So, that is of no use to me right now-u cannot call in for the I-360 to see what is wrong, so u just have to wait it out.So, all i can do right now is put pressure on the attorney who told me that i would get an EAD in 90days but that has long passed.I'm using the attorney's address for everything right now.So, since they said i should be patient that i'll get a biometrics appointment soon, i'll wait & if i don't hear anything, i'll call them again.I plan on calling them this coming friday anyway.

Yeah, i know.Its killing me.I've been married since 03 & divorced 09 w/o no adjustment of status from hubby,it took me a lot of courage to file 4 divorce b/c @ that point,i just wanted out of the marriage.Found out about vawa in 2010,filed in 2011 right b/4 divorce hit the 2 yr mark.i didn't have much paperwork to submit initially-attorney just wanted to beat d 2yr mark deadline.Submitted a few things i could lay my hands on at the time.Got d RFE for Good faith marriage & police clearance, sent that in later.Attorney confirmed everything has been submitted but they don't always fill me in on details.Its frustrating, i have to keep asking questions 4m them once every week.I don't have no job right now,my source of livelihood is selling on ebay every once in a while.No EAD or ID card,i have a car that i can't drive,i have licenses that i can use to work but no EAD.So, i'm just here waiting...

I'm new here but have been lurking around 4 a while & in the same boat as everyone.I filed I-360 in April,2011 & received RFE in May for Good Faith Marriage & Police clearance,Submitted both in July.Up til now, i haven't heard nothing.My attorney said she's waiting for an approval notice when i 1st spoke to her, then she called and said she inquired from them and that i should be expecting a biometrics appointment letter soon instead-she said it will take a week to a few weeks.Is this normal,do u get biometrics appointment before I-360 approval or is my attorney holding the letter b/c i still owe her some money?I'm tired of the wait.I never knew about vawa,i would have filed a long time ago before my divorce.I only found out after i was divorced but happy it was b4 the 2yr divorce limit.
