Fabio moved from Rio de Janeiro to California in 1989 when his father was a pilot for Varig airlines and decided to be transferred to LAX. . Fabio and I met in 1990 from a mutual friend who had asked if I was interested in meeting a few people who haven't been in Los Angeles that long. I said ok and Fabio was one of those people. I initially only talked to Fabio on the phone before meeting him in person and I thought he was obnoxious cause he would yell "I love you and I love your voice!", even though that was the first time he had ever spoken to me and never met me in person. A few days later a friend and I met them in person and eventually we would hang out doing stuff that teenagers do at that time (beach, mall, concerts, etc.) When I first saw Fabio, it was love at first sight and the thought of him being annoying over the phone at first went completely out the window. After spending time with each other, we hit it off and even though we were practically kids at the time, we treated our relationship as if we were married, taking very good care of each other. Then heart break came in 1992 when his father decided he wanted to move back to Brazil. Before he moved, he had initially asked me to marry him but obviously we were way too young at the time to do it, he was 16 and I was 15. (Even though my own mother wanted us to do when I told her about it but I thought she was joking). We kept in touch through letters and phone calls for awhile after he moved and he even came to the states a couple of times to visit me. But as we got older we lost touch and ended up moving on with our lives. Then out of the blue in the summer of 2006 I check my email and there was a message from myspace stating that I have a message from Fabio (I only had the myspace account for a few months before he found me on it). I was thinking well I only knew one Fabio but it couldn't be him but after I log on my heart just started racing....It was him. I immediately contacted him back and it turns out he was searching for me since 2002. So we have been back together since 2006, he asked me to marry him January 2007 in Madrid, Spain and finally on September 13, 2011 after a lengthy wait and process, we were married in Copacabana, Brazil. To be back together with my first love and first boyfriend is a dream come true and once he gets here, it will be even more of a happy ending.
