Yes I asked for it, since we are moving to Japan and the GC is gonna be mailed to my husbands grand parents who will forward it to us. He said we had to come back every six months to maintain residency and should apply for re entry permit next time we visit but didnt see any problem with going abroad for a temporary mission.

Ok so I went to the SS Card Center, that was pretty smooth, the employee was very knowledgeable, no question about my K-1 visa/didn't say that I couldn't have a SSN, only problem is that I was still not in the system so she sent a request to immigration to verify my status. Other than that, she said after I'm married, I will have to come back with my EAD and marriage certificate. Hope to get my SSN and card next week!

Super merci, là on à plus qu'à remplir le affidavit of support et faire les photos d'identités, j'espère envoyer ça d'ici mercredi pour nos un mois de mariage ^^Je me demandais juste pour le certificat de naissance je comptais le traduire moi-même j'ai vu que c'était possible en principe (site USCIS), t'en penses quoi?
