Thanks! Yes thats my greatest dilema my family they seemed dissapointed I was going to marry without them there! I will probably go with K-1 have to be sure and send this already. Thank You though! Goodluck also

Hola! I have all my paperwork ready for the K-1 but it turns out Im going to RD in december and now I am trying to figure out if i should send the papers or get married in december :S

For a K-1 visa on the G-325A in the section that says "this form is submitted in connection with an application for: Naturalization, Status of Permanent resident, other" which do i pick?? :s

Does anyone have a spanish version of the fiance letter of intent? I tried traducing the english and its getting really confusing right now :s

I have one. I sent it to Amel in Spanish and translated into English. Submitted both to USCIS. It basically says:
Es mi intencion, fulano de tal, casarme con fulana de tal, en los primeros 90 dias de mi entrada a los Estados Unidos despues del recibo de la aprobada Visa K-1. Viviremos juntos como marido y mujer.

Hey im good and yourself?! Thanks for your comment I would get married now but my only dilemma is that im in college full time so I wont have anytime to travel to dr and have a weeding and actually spend time with my fiance till march which is why i figured i might as well file for the k-1 now instead of sitting and waiting ..i cant wait anymoreee lol

Well average wait is 5 to 6 months for the K1. If you file October you would receive NOA2 in March April...putting your interview most likely (depending on Consulate) July August...as long as you dont get RFE..or any AP. If wait till March you may not get a get aprroved till towards the end of year....I personally time wise the K1 is better filing now. Others might feel differently but thats my thoughts!

YES YOU MIGHT GET THE K1 SOONER THAN A CR1 , THE ONLY CON IS YOU WILL NEED MORE PROOF OF RELATIONSHIP THAN THE CR1 SPOUSE REQUIRES; SUCH AS LETTERS, MONEY WIRE TRANSFER, HOTEL RESERVATIONS, PASSPORT STAMPS ETC AND YOU WILL BE THE SPONSOR OF YOUR FIANCEE. IF YOU HAVE ALL OF THOSE YOURE GOOD, WISH U THE BEST ON YOUR JOURNEY!!!!!!!!!!

After 3 years finally decided on beginning my K-1 process and someone tells me k-1 visas are not being approved as often anymore???? And that i should get married and file K-3...idk what to do!!

Not true, our case was approved in USCIS 2 months and 3 weeks.
