ouch
I thought only one of those calcium chews a day was sufficient anyway.
A couple years ago, when I was at work...during recess one of the kids banged his adult front tooth..it was wiggly woggly..pretty gross...his dentist said it would either turn colour and die or it was more likely to just heal and that's what it did.

I'm from Ontario. I do not recall having to demonstrate my SIN (income tax number) on any of the documents I filled out. However, tax evasion is a convictable offence and since it's Federal and Provincial, you should investigate how your fiance can mediate a resolution asap since Revenue Canada has already established a penalty. Your fiance could go to H & R Block and get all the returns filed...maybe some of the years might include a refund.

do you have the option of getting a line of credit in US to pay off the Canadian debts?
I have stuff still active in Canada in my previous surname and I find all this cross-border not hard to manage but I'm always worried that something will fall through such as your issue. I keep a Canadian credit card and my bank account (Bank of Montreal) as a back-up until my credit history here is established.

If you changed your name when you married, and your Canadian license shows your maiden name, you could be in for a few bumps in the road. Proving one's identity has become a big deal, and it's your responsibility to show up with consistent documents. Which state are you in?I am from Canada and now living in the States with my husband. For what it's worth, New Jersey may let you skip the road test, but you'll be on the hot seat for a thorough identity check.
I just provided my marriage certificate. Actually, now that I remember, I had to go to SSA right away and have my name changed there too cause the DMV recommended my DL and my SSN should have the same name. Those are the only two pieces of ID I have in my married name.

I've only ever had a male Customs officer and they weren't particularly friendly, but not unfriendly either. Of course, we only spoke to them for total of a minute or two to get back into Canada. The real grilling for me was to get back into the States but even then it was only for them to check over the documents and for them to stare into the car.

wow, mine was legal size, yellow and it listed my parent's info, the hospital, dtr. etc.
my kids were exactly the same plus they all had one of those stamps that made an impression on the page

you won't get a photocopy, you'll get a certified copy
it will be a copy of the birth registration form his parent's filled out
I went to the registrar's office (Ontario), think it was $30 something and it came registered mail within a week

for your CR1, you must send originals.
we didn't and got RFE'd for marriage certificate and birth certificates.
you get it all back at the CR1 interview
since you may face a delay or an overlap of K3 or CR1, perhaps you should get more than one certified copy of those documents

my ex-husband put me through an interminable amount of grief over giving me permission to move the children
We mediated the custodial arrangement at the court as advised by the judge. I was given sole custody (given by him, not granted by court) and permission to move (which included a financial arrangement for visits back and forth) and had all this endorsed in court (Ontario). In the meanwhile, he had liberal access which by the way, he did not use.
My husband did not petition for the Visas until we were married a few months later. During that time, my ex changed his mind and though he did not want custody, he refused to allow the children to move. He refused to sign the passport applications for the children, thus further delaying their visa petitions.
I was in and out of court for the whole length of time we waited for the CR1. After my divorce, I documented every moment he took access to the children, this included emails, phone calls and actual visits plus I noted his sporadic support payments. In the end, the final judge decided that the first Order (sole custody and permission) stood and I was awarded costs.
My interview in Montreal was assigned before my kids' I-130's were approved. My first contact with the Consulate told me to cancel my interview and wait for the kids' petition to catch up. They would not grant the Visa as the assumption is I would not be moving.
I kept calling and emailing and finally I got a compassionate officer who was willing to assist me in expediting the kids' Visas. They interviewed on the same date as me.
During my interview, it was noted on the kids' files that 'I have permission to move them'.
I think you have a tough road ahead of you. PM me if you like for some of the strategies that I used.

my husband filed 4 petitions (I-130's), one for me and one for each of my kids
we found it confusing as well and made the mistake of not filing the individual I-130's at first

the receptionist at my Family lawyer's office scared me...she was always so brusque
in time I learned to really like her..she was only doing her job and that phone rang off the hook
I learned pretty quickly that my lawyer would get back to me as soon as she could

I actually enjoy that scent on my husband.....i think it makes him smell nice.....
i just need to teach him about the affects of overspraying.......
lol, my husband showed up for a visit with the Axe spray
my daughters and I looked at him in horror and went out and got a nice cologne for him
we gave it to him with the warning that if we smell it in the room then he's got too much on

18 years? I wish!
If I was to do it again, I'd have started in my mid 20's...I had 3 and did not get a full night's sleep for 7 years straight.
Oh, and they cost me an arm, a leg and working on the other arm.

My husband sent in the I-864 so I'm not sure what he had to do on them but I can tell you that I did the DS-230's and had to write our MTL (Montreal consulate) numbers on every document we sent in, including the originals. We wrote it in pencil in upper right corners.
