so happy for u guys! :) see... this week is really ur week! in our case, still waiting.. will call NVC in a while.. just got home from work. Good luck!! now your almost done!! time for your interview appointment & medical:)

  3. I was told the same! And today they told me 20 business day. This is absurd. Honestly... I just don't understand why USCIS can't just say it hasn't left yet. And this lady told me there is no package that's sent. She told me is electronically.:.like wth!!!! Omg

I think yours have already left USCIS. last time we called USCIS they told us that ours was not in there system anymore and was already sent. they also told us to just update our case through NVC.. I know it's really frustrating for the long wait.. but let's hope this week will be our week :)

  4. After USCIS told me yesterday to give it 30 days for my petition to arrive at NVC and that I needed to stop calling so much because it was frustrating for them... :angry: .... I received an email from the NVC research department this morning stating the following;

    Dear Sir/Madam:

Please be advised that the National Visa Center (NVC) has received your

inquiry and the attached I-797 Notice of Action - Approval Notice.

Unfortunately, we do not have record of receiving your approved petition

from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. The NVC will contact

USCIS on your behalf for information on the location of this petition.

It looks like I won't be the only one contacting them in regards to my petition!

:( PS. needless to say that USCIS had me in tears after the most ignorant lady answered the phone . Never thought they have employees who can be so ignorant and rude, yet some who go above and beyond to help their clients!

we likely have same case! received mail from USCIS this morning and this is what it stated: "records shows the petition was approve on 4/18 and is being sent to the NVC. It can take up to 30days for the petition to arrive at the NVC."

and will call NVC in a while.. maybe ill get the same response as yours

  5. I'ts been 16 days now including saturday and sunday since i receive my NOA2 for k1 from USCIS and no case number yet from NVC... i keep calling NVC everyday and then they ask me for a receipt number for my approval notice from USCIS... when i give them my receipt number, the operator said, your approved petition is not in our system yet... i don't see anything that we received your aproved petition from USCIS.. anybody had this experience before? is that how long the NVC to process the appoval petition from USCIS already? i saw a lot of people that only 1 week they have case number from NVC already.. can anybody give the opinion to me what will i do..

ours is already 18 days.. USCIS already sent a letter to NVC regarding our case since USCIS told us that they already forwarded it to NVC.. NVC told us to expect letter from them this week. hope it'll be our case no. already..

  6. Everyone on this site out of Manila says co-sponsor is only accepted for spouse, not fiancee. I would verify this with the consulate first, if they will not accept, you should marry first, cancel K, and file CR1 spouse. The 864 uses 125% poverty, a family of 2 would need annual income of $18,920. With a co-sponsor it would be a family of 3 or higher so that number would go up.

True they don't accept Co-Sponsor in US Embassy in Manila. I found out about this just a week ago.. although I do make above the poverty guideline, i prepared a co-sponsor just in case. but i guess it'll be all in my hands.. and they just accept co-sponsor for spouse visa.. so i guess the best way to do is to marry your fiance and file for a spouse visa instead.. Good luck! If it's hard for u, i guess it's the best way.. Good luck!

  7. Hey guys...I was able to find out why NVC hasn't received my approved petition. I was starting to get worried and annoyed by calling 2 times a day and getting the same response. I even tried telling them that I don't have my NVC notice, and they will look it up with my social, DOB, name, and my fiances name and DOB and nothing. Also scanned a copy of my original NOA2 and emailed it to NVCresearch.gov

So today I called USCIS to find out if my petition was approved. Luckily, I was transferred to this really nice lady, Mrs.Andrews, and she checked for me and told me that my petition has not left. It's still "pending shipment" . She told me that they do this to make sure that once NVC receives it, it's ready to be sent to the consulate in DR with no problems. The shipment department was out of her hands, and there was nothing else she could do. But to call in 1 or 2 weeks and find out what's the status. She did tell me that next time I call, to just request information in regards to an approved petition pending shipment, that way I can find out if it has been shipped and I can track it from there.Hope this information is helpful, defitenely not what I wanted to hear, :( but it has given me a peace of mind to know it's not lost somewhere, instead it's getting prepared to get sent out to the Dominican Republic.

    Good luck to all!

Thanks for the info! guess we'll do the same.. been wondering as well what's taking too long for NVC to receive our case. Good luck guys! :)

  9. I started my K1 visa last April 13 and that was Friday the 13th, i just realized today but i don't care! I know it doesn't matter. Anyways, i'm just writing to encourage everyone here who are in the same page as i am. As i know that waiting is like forever but i know it will be so worth it. It is very difficult to wait on the uncertainties of life when the only thing you wish for is to be with the one you love. So let's all pray that our papers all go well and may God give us the strength to help us stretch our faith and patience along the way.

Anyone who filed on April 2012 are welcome! Let's tap each other's shoulder and believe that good things come to those who wait..

Thank You Lord for Your love! (L)

Patience is the key to Positive outcomes! Wish u all the best! :)) Good luck!

  10. A year ago today, I mailed off the I-129F Fiancee Visa Petition package and began the process to bring my fiancee back to the US. It was a long and stressful journey, but looking back now, it doesn't seem so bad. Little did I know that 5 months later, she would be approved for the visa and 6 months later, we would be together again here. We have now been happily married for a little over 5 months and are preparing to move into a new house together. It seems like the last few months have been overwhelming in that we've been needing to get something signed, stamped, certified, approved, etc.; but at least my love is here so that we can take care of these things together. For all who are just beginning this journey now, I know how you feel and I hope that you too will reflect back on your journey a year from now and find that the stress you are experiencing now is just a fleeting memory.

so nice:) Thanks for the encouragement i know most of us will someday be in the same position as you are in now:) Good luck on the rest of your journey!

  11. they responded that they received my inquiry... do I have to wait or was there something wrong with what I sent?

    I provided:

    >my name

    >USCIS receipt no.

    >My name and birth date

    >Beneficiary's name and birth date

the Subject was my USCIS receipt no. since I dont have my case no. yet.

    and they replied:

    "Dear Sir/Madam:

Thank you for your recent inquiry to the National Visa Center (NVC). This e-mail is an auto response. Please do not respond.

We review and reply to e-mails in the order they are received.........."

so is this just their confirmation that they received my mail... and do I have to wait for their response? :D

  12. Hi MY VJ Friends !!!

I could not sleep the entire night because I was too excited and happy. I thank all of you guys for your help and guidance. VISA JOURNEY FELLOWS, you guys rock!!!

Now, will you guys again help me with the rest of my journey and tell me what will be next? What I need to do now?

Thank you guys again. Wish all of you the best

Congrats! :) as of the moment im still waiting for my case no. from NVC... i was approved last 04/18.. So u can call NVC after 5-10 days if they already received your case. Some already had their case no's after 3days. GOOD luck! :)

  13. That is correct! If you make above the poverty level based on how many will be in the household is good enough. Make sure you get an employment

letter from your company stating the position, salary, and whether your position is full time or part time. Don't forget to send a couple of month's worth

of pay stubs to support the employment letter. Good luck to both of you!!!

I started work April last year. so from april-dec. I did make more than the 125% poverty guideline required. And will also provide my recent pay stubs from both my full time and part time job..
