The filing process begins with your husband filing the I-130 Petition for Alien Relative. If you're in the USA then you also need to file the I-485 Adjustment of Status.

I'm confused because you speak about your husband but your timeline says you've filed the I-129, which is a fiance visa, correct? Re proof of relationship: are there visits between you guys? Interview went well BUT I was asked to return with a joint sponsor. Turns out that, with regard to financial support, they rely completely on the income shown on the previous year's tax return. Current income is NOT factored in to the equation. I've posted my review. I'm sighing... disappointed big time... but hubby and I are working on it and God continues to come through for us.

Hi MCM. I was with you in the September 2011 filing thread, then NVC threads for March & April. Just checking in to see how you guys are doing, and whether the USCIS/NVC have sorted themselves out re your case. Hope some progress is happening! Blessings.

Finally... Interview scheduled - JUNE 21, 2012! And based on the instructions here on VJ about DHL tracking, I believe my case is already in Jamaica on its way to an embassy desk. Thanks be to the Lord!

CASE COMPLETE one month after being received at NVC on March 12! Onward to the interview... Praying for a great date... and so thankful!

After 175 days at USCIS, I'm now SO excited to be working through the NVC process. God is SO good and this website has been SO helpful with clarifying information and instructions from the NVC & USCIS websites.
