  1. I don't understand what they ask on the machines for which selection to make. Afraid after 2 failed attempts it will eat my card. Then the amount you can withdraw is small in each transaction. My fiance didnt understand what I was trying to say. After 2 rejections I feared my card would get taken by machine and I would be screwed. Why they don't have swipes on their machines is anybodies guess! So, the big question is can I just use XOOM and send money to myself. This would allow me to not worry about carrying so much cash and since I dont have credit card I dont have to worry about losing everything with debit card?

Just make sure first to match up your card to the ATM machine if there's Visa or MasterCard Logo.

If the card is rejected: No money in the machine, it's a network error, you're hitting a wrong button, there's problem in your account etc.

ATM machine is generally English and each bank got different buttons elsewhere but they have all similar selection and functions. BDO and Citibank machines ejects your card right away before it asks a pin number. Just hit "withdrawal or withdraw" if you're sure if you have enough. You can get a maximum of $227 or P10,000 in one transaction. You'll pay a flat fee of P250/ $5-7 for every transaction. If you have any issues, just a banks security guard or any bank personnel to help you out (cover up the pin number of course).

Ask your bank too what is the maximum transaction in a day. Tell them to not put a an "automatic lock" with it (if they have such a thing). This happened to my fiance, that he has to call his bank's fraud line every time we hit his allowable transaction in a day P20,000/$455.

In Metro Manila area, only Wendys and Burger King out of fast food chains accept credit/debit cards. Gas Stations, malls accepts credit/debit cards. Just make sure you ask first.

Sending yourself a money through Xoom is a good idea too.

  2. ....[/b][/u] for at least 59days (that's from the day you arrived to the day of your departure).

sorry..21+38=59 so you will be required to pay for ACR if you stayed beyond 59 days. They will stamp an expiration date in your passport so you won't be lost. You won't be required to get a visa, your US passport is fine. :star:.

  3. My fiance stayed with me for 3mos. Just go the nearest immigration office should you wish to extend for more than 21 days or do it in the airport itself. They will give you another 38 days extension. You will pay for an ACR (Alien Cert of Registration Card) around $282 (not sure the exact amount) if you have stayed in the Philippines for at least 59days (that's from the day you arrived to the day of your departure).

If you are going to the BOI office, don't forget to wear long pants and shoes because they won't let you get in if you are not wearing one.

  4. More than moving on, you're on a tough spot how to legally dissolve your marriage. If you do not have any means, come to any PAO (Public Attorney's Office)in your municipality and see what they say. I know you have to economically qualify but I am not sure if they accept annulment cases. Ask more than 2 lawyers because they may have different opinion. I know you still have to produce some money even if they'll accept your case so you have to financially prepare yourself. You have to work somewhere where you can earn a a lot of money to spend. Best of luck to you :star:

  5. Unfortunately that's their process. Just understand that you were just affected by a double standard and fraud in the past. Even after the petitioning process, you will still encounter prejudicial questioning from time to time (I am into May-December affair too but yours must be more difficult because you're the female) depending where you live. We can't please everybody, we don't have to, just have to get used to it. You've got nothing to hide, just give them what they want with all smiles :) , hang in there, keep your faith, it'll pass. In time, people will have no choice but get used to the two of you. :star:

  6. Anything that would prove that you were on her side of the border?

Restaurants if you went out to eat.

you can also send bank statements showing that both were in the same city/same dates.

Hopefully you saved any receipts from the any N.Y. hotel, restaurant, shopping etc. If you alternately used your credit cards then, credit card statement/statement of account that would be a good evidence.

  7. Reports: Kobe Bryant, wife had no prenup {Bryant's $53 million in earnings this season makes him the second-highest paid athlete of the year, and his total worth is about $300 million according to Forbes. According to TMZ, Bryant's wife could take half of his worth.}

So all you non-believers DO YOU THINK 1/2 of Kobe Bryants assets is FAIR ??? She loses nothing - all gains for her...

Divorce without PRENUPS - FOOLISH !

I did not follow the married life of these two since all I see in the the yahoo news are either the Kardashians, Paris Hilton or Pippa Middleton. They seem more private compared with other celebrities and we don't know what's going on between them behind close doors.

Let's just consider that settlement as a reward for being beautiful and patient wife to Kobe for the past 12yrs. Being married to a highly successful and famous athlete must not be easy: having dinner all by yourself and your husband prefers to hug a Spalding ball than you. That's just my wild assumption. :luv:
