Good Afternoon,
Hi all it's been a very long time since I've posted but I have a question, I'm trying to help an older lady bring her son back into the states. Any help or advice would be appreciated.
In this case a mother (permanent resident) wants to petition for her son who was deported 20+ years ago he was also given a 10 ban. But she doesn't know where to begin with this process. Can someone help me help her with this.
Thanks!

She's an elderly lady who doesn't speak English which is why I'm trying to help her out.
How does one start a new topic? I can't seem to figure it out..

Hello Good Afternoon,
Can someone please help me as I'm trying to assist someone who is petitioning her mother to come to the US from the D.R.. At this point I need a cover sheet of examples of documents that she needs to include with her I-130 packet.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

I for 1 know that one does not get denied for that reason alone but I also know that in alot of cases when both parties aren't present at the interview they would normally leave it for una cita abierta until they are both able to be present unless there's a good reason for the other to not be there.
-
I think it is advised that both parties be present but not an absolute rule. I think another person from DR went it alone and was approved also.
In my case, I sent a letter from doctor with supporting documentation of why I was unable to be present.
okay thanks for clearing that up..It's good to know that they're other options to this. Congrats again!

Congrats on the approval.
Have the rules changed because at one point it was mandatory that both parties attended the interview in order to be considered for approvals?!

Congrats!! I remember that feeling all to well.. one of the best feelings in the world..Congrats again and enjoy every moment

Thanks for keeping us posted Mr.Tee!

Will she have to have any of his deportation information in order to send out the petition? ie; deportation class or anything of that nature. She's completely lost as to where to even begin with this process.

Okay great.
Thanks!

Thanks for your response Kzielu- so will form I-212 on the USCIS site be unnecessary in this case?

Good Morning,
I'm helping out a friend that needs help with a deportation case. She just reunited with an ex of years ago who has been deported back to the Dominican Republic. His ban was for 10 years and he has been in DR for 17 years now. She wants to go marry him and petition for him to reenter the US but is unsure of how to go about filing. If anyone has gone through or knows anything about these cases please advise.
Thanks for your responses and advice in advance!
