    Greencard received!!! I put in a service request last week as i hadn't heard anything and three days later my greencard was printed! Can't believe USCIS actually did something for a change...! Goodbye USCIS, it has been a bitter pleasure!

    EAD card along with advanced parole received and after spending a long and horrible 4 hour wait in the DMV today I now have a West Virginia Driving License... now to start life...!

      No difference except that a permit only lasts 3 months so in 30 days i'll apply for my full license which should last much longer. Job front is overwhelming, have applied to the substitute teacher register so will see how that goes. I got my transcripts evaluated by AACRAO, they did a fairly good job although it took about 3 months for it to come through... same as everything over here! Good luck and keep me posted on any job success!

      It was a joke, I was only allowed to obtain my drivers permit as they told me I need 30 days of driving experience first before doing the practical. I asked them if 8 years of driving back home with a license was enough... apparently not! Ah well, if that's the worst of my problems then I can't complain. How is the job search coming?

    I think I have finally completed our AOS packet... phew. I found it much harder to complete than the I-129F... fingers crossed for a swift reply..

      Hey Dido, we wanted to file for AOS asap so I could potentially be legal to teach in September so we had a civil ceremony on the 14th and our ceremonial wedding is still scheduled for the 25th August. Fingers crossed we receive word back as fast as you did! Keep me posted on your progress...!

    Request for earlier interview date denied, they blamed the olympics for a lack of spaces. 25th it is..!

      Its May, so really not too bad, only problem is we are moving into a new flat on the 16th so was hoping I could maybe be there for that. Have waited this long, might as well keep going..!
