Wow, almost a year since I came onto Visa Journey. My husband has been at home for almost a year, it still feels like a dream at times. For those who knew us on Visa Journey, we were the couple who were denied, reapproved, and after almost 4 years of marriage (most of which had to be apart physically) we got our visa in 2010. My husband and family are comfortable and at ease, which I value greatly. Being together now really took all that panic out of my body, but it took a couple of month...

Yeah! Am glad to come to terms that you actually replied this but must have been after I got to the states. Life has been good, all glory be to God. I hope it's been the same on your side. How is your hubby now am sure he must be used to life now. It's a big transition and I now have a true picture of what you were saying back then. All the best!

Trying to make the arrangements and flight info to head to Nigeria for his interview in January....Flights are expensive at that time...and hoping I can get the visa to visit in time and the time off work. So much to do, so little time
-
My fiance contacted the US consulate in Nigeria because he needed more time to gather all of the documents that he needs for the interview. We received a response from consulate today and they have moved the interview date to Jan 30 2012! Now are both content; we felt rush because Dec 15th was fastly approaching!

We are finally waking up every morning together, life is a miracle, I tried my wedding dress on today, we are getting married on december 3 and I am amazed that I am not dreaming

It's been over a month now and still no respnse from US consulate in Lagos. My next step is to write my congressman.
-
I got a relpy from the consulate a month and few days, so it may be between 4-6weeks. So dont work yourself up, wait for it ll surely come and dont really boder yourself about the congressman like i did.Its a long line you wouldnt wish for. Just keep your fingers crossed and pray. You ll likely get a mid or late Dec. date
