your refusal has to do with your place of birth. if u are a frequent visitor to some places that was redflag by the usa recently they re evaluate your application for safety reasons.i have seen iraqs, pakistanis with dual citizens. if they visited those areas red flagged by the usa for the last five years they are advised to reapply for entry permit for re-evaluation. As for the canada visa u should not have issues with the entry. in some situation like this get your ticket and go your ECO will determine that with his/her descretion

Well i am sorry to hear this from you. dont think otherwise the consular officer used their discretion on decision made on this type of application. All i need to tell u is your husband should be alert field officer are going to do their investigation to see if your marriage is real. There are lots of red flags on the matter to point out and you know it. you may think u have done your homework but your best is not good enough. Your husband abode in Nigeria will be contacted and dont be surprise when they asked neighbour about your husband relationship just to see if the neighbour will point something different from what they have on their records. We all went through this stage and know how exactly u feel when your application is on AP. i hope this will not take any longer so u can move on with your life

How long does it takes from your passport book is being processed to when it's mailed?

My check was cashed today. Was able to track my application after few hours I checked again and was told my information was not on their records. Is this a normal case happening at this stage of something to worry about

I applied for my passport book and card today. I used my personal check for payment and one passport photograph

Am a us citizen today. Oath ceremony was successful. I applied for my passport immediately

Checks should be made payable to the U.S. Department of State.

When I called DOS Customer Service, they also said don't forget to write your Name and Date of Birth on the check!

Also note that the Execution Fee is paid SEPARATELY to the acceptance facility. Only the passport fees should be on the check.

As for me am doing passport book and card. So my check should be $140 for both then $25 check for execution fee?

I have added my self since I plan to apply for my US Passport shortly after taking oath in a week. Good luck to us all

I had my interview in the same day as you. I remember you from the waiting room. I passed the Interview and i was tolled to wait for the letter. I have not received anything and the online status has not changed since the interview was scheduled. I'm worried that my Ceremony is on the same date as yours. There is a customer service number on the notice that are been served. Call the 1800 # the first respond u will get will be the front desk receptionist attending to you. they will only tell you what they can see on the screen. You can make a request to speak to tier 2. The tier 2 staff can give you an adequate information on your case only if there is an update. If there is no update no miracle bro

How long after the interview did u get the oath letter? i had interview in boston 12/31 and the officer recommended for approval but no oath letter yet. online status still reads interview was scheduled.

In my own opinion to this question. The applicants ahead of you determines the time u will be schedule for oath. If you are from a small jurisdiction where application are treated quickly. I will say a week. Like my own case,interview was done January 5th, got an update for an oath scheduled January 12th and I called uscis tier 2 officer for my oath and was informed that it will be on the 26th January

Hi Omeka, I applied on Jan 08 after my oath and got my passport book yesterday Jan 20th! So it took 12 days total. I was told routine (standard / non-expedited) service is anywhere between 4-6 weeks. I suspect this could be a low season for passport applications hence the quick turn around or faster processing.
