My husband did POE on 06/02/12 thru Miami and received his SS card less than 2 weeks after being here but has not received his Green Card yet. Anyone know how long it takes to receive it?

Super excited, leaving this Friday to DR; INTERVIEW ON MODAY! I am 100% sure I have all proof possible. So Monday-Thursday please fly by so I can hug my gordo again!!!!!

HEY MARIEL!!! I am doing POE at MIA too and read thru the POE REVIEWS... it seems that if you are coming in on a weekday then there is no delays but weekends seems to take 2-3 hours due to all the traveler traffic. Best of luck!

I know I am not at NVC anymore, but I just want to wish everyone here good luck!!! I know you might not see the light at the end of the tunnel quite yet, but I promise it's coming, and when you see it, it's a wonderful feeling!!

I myself will be preparing all my evidence this week, since I am leaving on Monday for my husband's interview. We are nervous, but staying positive.

Today was a hard day, hubby says goodbye to a close friend, a great man and father! I still can't believe it, how I wish I was there to give him all the support as well as all our friends. To keep busy and not think about it I decided to dedicate the day to setting up my space for hubby's arrival. My bestfriend came over and we painted (took of my bubble gum pink and apple green walls lol) and now my room is beginning to look like a married couple's room. I love it, can't wait till hubby sees our area.

Saylin- well DR consulate is very "special" and tend to always loose something or be lost themselves so I told hubby to go closer to the date so that there is no confusion about his results hanging around too long to get lost since now the medical is given directly to the consulate not the beneficiary...DR is a hot mess

Hubby is going on Monday for the medical since the interview date is the 7th (2 weeks prior the interview)- we did not want to do it too soon or too close to the interview date.

I am back from an amazing short weekend getaway with hubby! I love these kindof weekends, and even more now that I know Ill be back in 3 weeks for our interview and coming back with my Gordo!

I just got my interview date May 7th! YUPEEEE! Now as we know medicals are cheaper as of May 1st. I was thinking of telling hubby to go get his medical on the 1st of May but I know it is only very close to the date of the interview (6 days away including weekend)...

How long did it take you guys to get the results back from the medicals? What do you recommend I do?

Congrats to all the interviews scheduled...apparently NVC is working on all other thousand of countries in the world except Dominican Republic. We are all waiting and waiting and waiting. I call like 5 or 6 times a day and nothing. Just called and got Dexter, he sounded like if he was doing something inappropriate over the phone...nasty! Still no interview date though.

Yeah I figured I won't give up on calling. NVC operator told me they will be done scheduling this week or by early next. I have decided to be proactive and started gathering and printing excessive evidence.

Girl you had not told me they told you that?! I had my first call of the day with no luck at 8:35am... hoping they take a look at our petitions throughout the day today. Yessie's friend was a CR1 petition and got interview date yesterday so I am hoping for good news...I am trying to be optimistic here...trying oh so hard!

Called and spoke to a super rude supervisor... I could not help it and let her have a piece of my mind on how bad service they are and so on! Its going on 4 weeks now!

Have you tried calling DOS this morning?

I'm buying into the theory that the NVC operators don't have access to up to the minute information. There is clearly a disconnect between the NVC operators and the officers, they probably even work on isolated systems. It seems they send out updates around 4pm EDT, so work that was completed in the morning will not reflect on their computers until after 4pm EDT.

Yup, called NVC in the AM, called DOS at 11:30 am and nothing....very frustrated! Steph and I are fed up, we cant do anything due to this date!

add all that to it! and i think its enough!!!! we are at 23 days waiting on a simple interview date... ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! NVC GIVE ME MY DATE NOW!!!!
