    Wondering how does the counting of month work as to staying in the Philippines with a us green card. I know I should not exceed 6 months and must return back to the US.. I went to the Philippines January till March 2014 then went back to the US. September I came back to PI because my grandma passed and my mom needs to undergo an operation. Does anybody know how many more months may I be able to stay in Manila? In one years time do they count the total months you were away or is it per trip ?...

      if u plan to stay more than 1 yr might as well get exit visa / re entry permit

    My name on my green card and SS card is still my maiden name. I used my new passport with my married name to go to the US. Now I am planning to get a job here in the US, should i need to have my name changed on both cards ASAP and do i have to pay anything?Please HELP me.. thanks so much!

      hi i was reading all your post .. congratulations ... anyway i am having same situation like u had before i was given i 221g they are asking about the I-864a form with signature of my husband and our co sponsor ( my monther in-law ) i had my interview oct 14 and by oct 15 i submitted the form they ask together with my passport and today its been 2 weeks since i send the forms in us embassy manila .. i just wanna ask what did u do while u wait for ur visa? did u ever called the mebassy or emai...

    thank God, yes visa approved. Just waiting for my passport via 2go.. :)
